An eco-friendly resort nestled in the heart of Mother Nature, far from the hustle and bustle. Unwind with views of the jungle and river. Ayurvedic oils produced on-site, sister hotel to Nikki's Nest.
Duke’s Forest Lodge is located on the edge of the Peppara Wildlife Sanctuary, at the foothills of the Ponmudi mountains, on a property of about 40 hectares featuring a rubber plantation, palms, cocoa, and coffee plants. Facilities include a reception, safe, internet access, and currency exchange.
The airy restaurant, overlooking the clear Kallar River and adjacent jungle, offers tasty Ayurvedic dishes mostly from its own produce.
In the Ayurveda Center (currently treatments bookable only upon request - please contact us), led by an experienced Ayurveda team mainly from the renowned sister resort Nikki's Nest, ayurvedic regeneration and detox treatments are conducted. The supplementary Ayurvedic medicine is exclusively plant-based. Coordination with the doctors allows a combination of stays at both properties. Oils for both resorts are produced on-site at Duke's. Yoga and meditation in the on-site 'Prakarthi' Yoga Shala complete the offerings.
If you're looking for the perfect spot for a Yoga retreat with your group, secluded from all disturbances, you can privately practice and meditate in the Yoga pavilion with views of the river and jungle. The garden and pool invite relaxation between Yoga sessions, while the Ayurvedic meals (full board) gently nourish you. Ayurvedic treatments and excursions can complement the Yoga programme upon request. Just contact us!
Large outdoor pool with loungers and umbrellas. Walks through the plantation. The team is happy to help organise excursions in the area, boat and trekking tours, or Jeep safaris.
Five private villas built on pillars feature a bathroom and bedroom, fan, and a large terrace on the first floor, with an open relaxation room and plunge pool on the ground floor. Four standard rooms in the old manor house (about a 10-minute walk from the restaurant) with shower, fan, and telephone. SGLs are DBs for single use.

Hotel very clean, hotel staff very attentive, BUT: 1 - Transfer back to the airport much too early (starting at 5:30 am, and then we waited 4 hours at the airport with no exit outside the terminal because the security at the entrance of the terminal prohibits it.) 2 - Return to airport transfer poorly executed: the taxi left us at the wrong terminal, so we had to take another taxi at our expense 3 - There was only one male masseur, who "smeared" more than he massaged. The massages was very repetitive. I am used to SPA & massage, it is the worst I have done. 4 - In addition, with my 2 boys care was obligatorily spread from 10:30 am to 15:30. So impossible to make an excursion all together in the vicinity, and impossible to lunch together at noon (my first gacon ended his care around 12:30, so the time to take a shower and recovered he was at the restaurant around 13h qd I started at 13:30 my care) .... Too bad not to be able to eat with his 2 children during the week of stay ... It's not really the goal of a week together

If you are tired of the sea and love the rainforest, then this is the place for you. For everyone else, it could be too lonely, especially in off-season times. If that does not bother you, you will experience a wonderful nature.
