Pool bar very expensive and not very friendly Pool very clean, water very relaxing

Hotel The hotel is (like many in Abano) somewhat aging, but very well maintained and therefore perfectly fine. Free parking is available. There was a predominantly Italian crowd in the house. Room Our room in the junior suite category was appropriately sized. The bathroom was very clean and well maintained (must have been renovated recently). However, there was no separate shower, but a bathtub-shower combination (with a movable shower wall on the edge of the bathtub). Unfortunately, all windows had a frosted glass film on the inside, so that a view is only possible when the window is open (on the other hand, it prevents unwanted views from the outside). Did not bother us further, since we were rarely in the room. Location & Surroundings The hotel is very conveniently located, directly on the edge of the pedestrian zone with many shopping opportunities and bars/restaurants. In the immediate vicinity there is also a small park and a store with regional products (including wine, olive oil, liqueur, etc.). Great excursions to the nearby Euganean Hills or also to Padua or Venice available.

The service was very good all around. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout. Even though the main language was Italian, communication was also possible with German/English without any problems.

We had already booked a fango treatment incl. ozone bath and massages in advance (also possible directly at the hotel). The appointment was made after the obligatory initial examination. The procedure was very well organized. The treatments were performed by experienced and very friendly therapists.

The food was overall very good and varied. For breakfast there was a buffet - coffee specialties could be ordered. At lunch and dinner, menus were offered, where you could choose from 4-5 dishes per course (also vegetarian). The menu was available in 4 languages: Italian, French, English, German There was a large selection of drinks/wines, which have to be paid separately.

There was a large pool with an indoor and outdoor area. The thermal water is pleasantly tempered (33-34°). The number of massage jets could be higher. As usual in Italy, bathing caps were mandatory. There were enough loungers in the outdoor area, so there was always a place to be found (even in the shade).
