The modern Badenia Hotel Praha is located in the centre of Franzensbad, close to the spa park and theatre, and just a few steps from the colonnade.
Location & Surroundings
The quaint spa town of Františkovy Lázně (Franzensbad) is located in the Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad) region, in the Cheb district at 442 meters above sea level. It is part of the so-called "West Bohemian Spa Triangle" and has preserved the character of a spa town from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. All paths lead through well-maintained parks, ensuring a tranquil and cosy atmosphere. Thanks to its favourable location near the border, Františkovy Lázně (Franzensbad) is also a highly attractive tourist destination.
The healing properties of the Franzensbad springs have been known since the 15th century. The town was founded in 1793 by Emperor Franz I as the world's first peat pulp bath. The spring water was not only popular among locals but was also sold throughout Germany. It is historically documented that in the year 1700, more Franzensbad water was sold in Germany than all German spa towns combined could supply at that time.
In Františkovy Lázně, heart and circulatory diseases, musculoskeletal disorders, and gynaecological diseases, including infertility, are treated. Treatments with natural sources include peat baths, peat packs, carbon dioxide baths, medicinal gas injections, and CO2 dry baths.
Dining & Leisure
Bohemian and international cuisine. Breakfast buffet, for lunch soup, main course (3 menus to choose from) and dessert are served. For dinner, soup, 3 main courses, and a salad buffet are available. (Please communicate any special requests at the time of booking). The hotel features a summer terrace.

Indoor pool (8 x 4 m, open daily 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.), sauna. Salt grotto (approx. €8/hour). Beauty manicure, cosmetics, hairdresser.

Modern therapy department (Mon.-Sat., 7 a.m.-3 p.m.). Qualified doctors and therapists, 24-hour nursing service. Mud, fango, and paraffin packs, pearl, whirlpool and mud baths, underwater, hot stone and classical massages, medical gas injections, mechanical lymphatic drainage, inhalation, electrotherapy, Medi Stream SPA massage device, drinking therapy.
Indications: Diseases of the musculoskeletal system and cardiovascular system.
Contraindications: Acute and infectious diseases, malignant tumors during and after treatment with clinically detectable signs of disease progression, pregnancy, alcohol dependency, dependency on addictive substances, non-healing skin defects, inability to care for oneself and to perform daily activities without the help of others, as well as inability to walk independently, incontinence.

Cycling, hiking, Nordic walking (The Nordic walking trails lead through a nature reserve with peat ponds. Initially, you will be accompanied by an instructor.), city museum, gallery, concerts, theatre, cultural events, excursions: SOOS nature reserve with natural mofettes and mineral springs 5 km away, Cheb (Eger) - historic city 5 km away, Seeberg Castle 5 km away. 18-hole golf course Franzensbad in Hazlov about 5 km away.
