Your Hotel

Day 1: Kochi

Reception at Cochin airport and transfer to the hotel. The picturesque port city of Cochin stretches across islands and coastal ledges between the Arabian Sea and the Backwaters. City tour with visit to the Mattancherry "Dutch" Palace, famous for its murals, the synagogue in the heart of the city and St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India and the Santa Cruz Basilica (built in 1557 by the Portuguese). In the evening traditional Kathakali dance performance. Overnight stay in Cochin.

Day 2: Cochin - Kumarakom

After breakfast, drive on to Kumarakom, a beautiful paradise of green rice fields, mangrove forests, coconut palms and enchanting waterways. Cruise with typical boats and canoes through the water world from Lake Vembanad to the resort. Numerous leisure activities such as fishing, fishing or boating (for a fee). Overnight stay in Kumarakom.

Day 3: Kumarakom - Alleppey

Breakfast. Around noon start of the houseboat tour on a traditional rice barge ("Kettuvalam"), which was transformed into a comfortable houseboat. On your way to Alleppey you will pass the typical villages of Kerala and experience the life of the backwaters, hence the name of this tour. Overnight stay on the houseboat including full board.

Day 4: Alleppey

In the morning disembarkation and transfer to Cochin airport. Transfer to your booked hotel in Trivandum or Kottayam possible for an extra charge.

Itinerary depends on arrival in Cochin and is subject to change.

If you book the 3-day tour, you do not need to visit Cochin, from Cochin you continue directly to Kumarakom.

The Mattancherry "Dutch" Palace is closed on Fridays and the Jewish synagogue on Saturdays.
