Perched on a high plateau amidst the beautiful Thuringian Forest, the Active Vital Hotel Thüringen offers stunning views of the valley, the Rhön, and the Rennsteig. The timber-framed and nougat town of Schmalkalden is just about an 8-minute drive away.
Dining & Leisure
Indulge in the dining options at the "Hennenberger Haus" guesthouse with its adjoining beer garden or the "Gräfin Anastasia" restaurant. Enjoy the breakfast buffet, and with half board booking, a pampering board with coffee and cake buffet in the afternoon and a tasty 3-course choice menu in the evening. On request, a 4-course candlelight dinner (for an additional charge). Gluten-free and lactose-free meals available on request.
Wellness & Spa
Discover pure relaxation across approximately 1,000 sqm at the Aronia Vital SPA featuring both indoor and outdoor areas. The wellness area includes outdoor and indoor pools (each approximately 12 x 5 m, heated year-round), infrared cabins, sensorial showers, and relaxation zones, as well as a sauna area with two Finnish saunas (about 85-95°C), a bio-sauna (about 65°C), and an aroma steam sauna (about 45°C). In the relaxation area, you'll find heated loungers and salt inhalation therapy. During summer (April-October, weather permitting), a drinks cart at the outdoor pool offers refreshing beverages from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
A team of experts offers a selection of massages and beauty treatments based on high-quality natural cosmetics. Additionally, two soft-pack loungers are available for body treatments.
Fitness & Courses
The new, modern fitness room, bathed in natural light, is equipped with high-quality equipment (8:30 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.). Energise yourself in the cardio area with a treadmill, rowing machine, stairmaster, and bicycle, or build strength in the weight area with dumbbells, barbells, several special bars, kettlebells, cable machines, and racks.
Free Time
For a fee, you'll find a variety of leisure activities at the hotel and nearby, such as tennis, bowling, volleyball, e-bike rental (Apr.-Oct.), guided hikes, cooking school. In winter, cross-country skiing and sledding. Eisenach (Wartburg) approx. 45 km.
