Your Ayurveda Resort
Located in the south of the island near Dickwella, directly on a fine white sandy beach, the Austrian Ayurveda Beach Resort is set in a beautiful garden with ancient, shade-giving trees. The architecture is stylish, for instance, the spacious reception hall with small lounges and impressive 'Cloud Maidens'. The magnificent sandy beach is perfect for walks, and the sea invites you to swim all year round. The resort also features a tsunami early warning system from the University of Tübingen.
Dining & Leisure
The public restaurant with attached terrace serves menus at lunch tailored by Ayurvedic doctors to the doshas of each guest. Morning and evening dishes are served according to the Tri-Dosha principle (suitable for all doshas). The chefs are extensively trained in Ayurvedic cuisine and receive regular training.
Ayurveda Center
The Ayurveda & Yoga Center, adjacent to the pool, features a team of two Ayurveda doctors and several therapists. It includes a consultation room, 5 treatment rooms, an Ayurvedic steam bath, a Finnish sauna, an Ayurveda pharmacy, and a souvenir shop. The building is spaciously designed with extensive use of wood to create a light, airy setting that remains pleasantly cool during treatments. A wooden staircase leads to a gallery and the yoga hall under the roof. The therapy is tailored individually following authentic, traditional treatment principles. Treatments are spread throughout the day with rest periods in between to ensure optimal effects of the treatments and oils. There's a meditation circle directly by the sea. Acupuncture available on-site (approx. €30/session).
Free Time
The resort features a viewing terrace, a freshwater pool, and direct beach access. The sea with its gently sloping beach is ideal for swimming. Excursions to the surrounding area, such as Galle, Matara, or Dickwella, can be arranged (for a fee).

12 rooms, comfortably equipped with a mezzanine for washbasin/shower, separate WC, telephone, safe, mosquito net, minibar, satellite TV (German Wave) and large, covered terrace/balcony, some with sea view. 4 Deluxe rooms on the ground floor, 4 Deluxe Lofts on the 1st floor, plus 2 Loft Suites in the new building above the restaurant. Air conditioning available on request (approx. €10/day, payable locally). Deluxe SGL are DBL for single use. Wi-Fi in the lobby.

The hotel is delightful in colonial style and is located in a beautiful bay. The massages are excellent and the team is incredibly caring. We felt extremely comfortable and well rested. It was my first Ayurveda trip and certainly not my last. Two small negative points: the beach in front of the hotel is very clean, but if you walk along the beach, it is slightly littered at the top. But that's not the hotel's fault, that's generally the case in Sri Lanka. It didn't bother us too much though, as the beach below was really beautiful. It was a little annoying that small groups of surfers were allowed to use the edge of the hotel. That sometimes bothered us. Otherwise, everything was really great!

Climate change exhausting. Medical and therapeutic staff very good. Kitchen great and food very tasty. Room quite small for a couple. Sound of the sea very loud, sleep not good.
