"Kadal" means sea and "theeram" means coast - thus, the Kadaltheeram Ayurvedic Beach Resort is aptly located on the beautiful long sandy beach of the popular seaside resort Varkala, making it especially suitable for guests who value personal interaction and intensive medical advice. The team works individually, professionally, and authentically. The resort appears as a green oasis in an idyllic location right on the Malabar coast by the Arabian Sea, peacefully surrounded by cabins, houses, and villas. It consists of two stone buildings connected by a gravel path and a large, open pavilion for yoga and meditation. The gravel path and the well-maintained garden with shade-giving palms extend to the beach. The nearest village is about 500 meters away, and Varkala is about 6 km away.

The popular seaside town of Varkala is located about an hour's drive north of Trivandrum in the southwestern state of Kerala, a land of rivers, lagoons, and tropical rainforests. The influence of European missionaries is still visible today, explaining the widespread use of the English language. Varkala has always been an important pilgrimage site for Hindus, showcasing its uniqueness with sensational rock formations, rugged cliffs, and golden sandy beaches. The town stretches over 2 km along the cliff path.

The open restaurant with a stunning sea view serves vegetarian, Ayurvedic cuisine. The varied Ayurvedic meals are tailored to your dosha type and dietary plan. Herbal teas and juices complement the meals. The restaurant truly embodies a deep commitment to Ayurveda.

At the forefront of the classic Ayurveda Panchakarma therapy at Kadaltheeram are the authentic Ayurvedic treatments, the simple ambiance, and the warm service. Led by the young, innovative Ayurveda doctor Dr. Manu Das and his skilled team of therapists, tailored treatment and dietary plans are implemented following thorough, individual consultations and diagnoses. There are a total of 4 Ayurveda doctors on-site. Meditation and daily morning yoga complement the therapy, highlighting the healthy, peaceful lifestyle embraced here.

The free time can be used for walks on the beach (paved path) or to Varkala (about 1 hour on foot). Excursions to the surrounding area, such as to the Backwaters or an elephant training station, are also possible (for a fee). Shops are in close proximity.
