Location & Surroundings

The Bavarian State Spa Bad Bocklet is part of the health region "Bäderland Bayerische Rhön". Its location between Fulda (approx. 60 km) and Würzburg (approx. 70 km) in the unique UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Rhön offers numerous excursions and hiking as well as cycling trails. The historic spa park (approx. 17 ha) is located in one of the romantic river bends of the Franconian Saale.

Food & Drinks

Enjoy vital, fresh, and regional cuisine. For Ayurveda programs, authentic Ayurvedic dishes are served on the recommendation of Ayurveda specialists. For guests staying overnight, a rich breakfast buffet, half board in the evening in menu form or buffet, and for full board, an afternoon vitality snack. The hotel also offers vegetarian and lactose-free options.

Spa & Wellness

The heart of the facility is the modern Spa | Bathhouse (approx. 2,330 sqm) with an indoor pool (approx. 7 x 13 m), sauna area with organic sauna, Finnish sauna, steam bath, plunge pool, ice fountain, and room of silence. A gymnasium is also available. Wellness treatments can be booked on site.

The Spa | Bathhouse is a powerful place for relaxation and health. Physiotherapy practice. Remedies include natural peat and the healing water of the highly carbonated and iron-rich "Stahlquelle", which stimulates circulation and metabolism. Kneipp facility, balneology, natural peat treatments, and "steel baths". Local spa doctor.
Direct billing for outpatient preventive treatments and prescriptions brought along.

Respiratory system, musculoskeletal system, rheumatism, heart, vascular and circulatory diseases, high blood pressure, nerves, exhaustion, and as burn-out prevention.

Ayurveda Center

English-speaking Indian Ayurveda specialists and therapists from Kerala/India. All Ayurveda treatments such as Abhyanga oil massage, Shirodhara oil forehead pour, Pinda Sveda herbal poultice massage, and various packages with relaxation and cleansing therapies are individually compiled by the Ayurveda specialists according to traditional procedures. Participate in daily yoga. The arrival days for Ayurveda programs are Sunday to Friday.

Arthritis, blood pressure (high/low), skin diseases, rheumatic complaints, stomach and intestinal problems, back pain, mental stress, insomnia, tinnitus, and many more.

If you are not yet familiar with Aryuveda, such a short cure is informative and gives you a good insight into this healing method through the mix of nutrition, yoga and treatments. I found the healing therapy very exhausting in the first two days, but by the end I was relaxed and had energy again. The scheduling was a little unfortunate at times. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was very tasty.
