Nikki's Nest

Nikki's Nest is located in the southwest of India, about 30 minutes drive from the airport, directly on the Indian Ocean, on a hill with a fantastic view of the picturesque coast, near the famous beach Kovalam (about 9 km). The idyllic resort is lovingly embedded in the existing vegetation and accommodates exclusively Ayurveda guests and their accompanying persons. A tropical garden with magnificent orchids surrounds the resort and creates a private and calming atmosphere. Below and framed by Nikki's nest lies a small Hindu temple. Smoking is not allowed on the grounds. In 2021 Nikki's Nest celebrates its 25th anniversary! 

2 restaurants, Hibiscus and Orchid, with vegetarian and Indian cuisine. Ayurveda guests receive specially made dishes for their dosha type from the buffet. Lactose and gluten free options available on request. A communal table for single travellers is available on request.

A qualified team of experienced Ayurveda doctors and therapists perform authentic Ayurveda treatments in 17 treatment rooms. The Ayurveda Center was awarded the Green Leaf Award by the Kerala government in 2003. Nikki's places particular importance on ensuring that not only the Ayurveda treatments, but also the environment are kept traditional and sustainable. The oils and powders used for the treatments in the sister resort Duke's Forest Lodge (approx. 50 km, approx. 1.5 hours, see below) are produced in-house under the supervision of the Ayurveda physician (the transfer is included in the combination stay of the resorts, e.g. also to visit the plantation). The Ayurveda Center is located in the upper part of the complex and can be reached via steps or slight ascents, depending on the residential area.  Yoga pavilion with sea view for yoga with meditation (daily in the morning except Sundays). Additional yoga classes on request, for a fee. Herbal Beauty Clinic with hairdresser.

2019 renovated outdoor pool, direct access to the beach (please consult the lifeguard before bathing on the beach), library, internet PC, during high season cultural and dance events on request. Souvenir and spice shop, laundry service. Small shops in the near surroundings. Excursions e.g. to the backwaters, village visits or to temples/palaces are offered at the hotel.

Nikki's for the environment

Sustainability & Recycling are written in capital letters in Nikki's Nest. Besides water treatment and rainwater usage for garden and laundry, a biogas plant and the transfer of used Ayurveda oil to local companies for machine greasing are also part of the concept. The resort also supports regular waste collection on streets and beaches as well as animal welfare.
