The location directly on the river is very nice, the hotel is only a few meters away from the street and yet it is idyllic and quiet when the muezzin is not calling to prayer. The hotel is clean and the rooms are tasteful

The location of the hotel is beautiful with views of the Bentota River. The rooms are spacious, functional and well furnished. Mine was even equipped with an outdoor shower.

I had at least 2.5 to 3 hours of treatments every day. The Ayurvedic treatments were very good and the two therapists were very dedicated and qualified. It was not a standard program, but it was also addressed to personal sensitivities or health problems. There was daily acupuncture by the doctor after the treatments and the possibility of a daily conversation with the doctor.

The Ayurvedic whole foods , mostly vegan, are delicious. Most of the food is grown and harvested directly in the hotel's own garden. I really liked the versatility of the dishes. The food was a real treat for me.

The facility has two pools that are cleaned daily. Here I could relax well after the treatments and refresh myself.

The complex consists of three villas next to each other and the associated gardens, which contributes very much to the family atmosphere of the hotel. The location directly on the river is fantastic, I felt incredibly comfortable and safe. The room was very spacious, always clean, just perfect. There was a selection of different German language books in each villa. The owner speaks very good German and made sure that every guest felt comfortable at all times. You can rent bicycles and see the surroundings on your own. The mouth of the Bentota River, the beach and the Kande Viharaya Temple are highly recommended destinations.

Very great high class treatments, every day at least 2.5h, also daily acupuncture. The doctor a master of pulse diagnosis, he was present every day for many hours and took care personally. Morning yoga class also suitable for beginners, as a lot of emphasis was placed on joint exercises and gymnastics and it is not just about the fluid execution of yoga figures.

At lunch, mostly small buffet with rice/dal and some vegetables or soup. In the evening there was more variety and sometimes fish. Dinner on the floating restaurant was a wonderful experience with excellent food.

Treatment rooms very clean, you could hear the birds chirping the entire time. You were given a sarong after the treatments, which made it difficult to relax properly with your oiled shoulders and arms if you didn't want to get everything dirty. I would have liked a full bathrobe as I know from another Ayurveda hotel.

After leaving the lively street behind, you enter a beautiful manicured garden right on the river. The rooms are spacious, clean and very nice. The reception area could be more friendly.

The staff is very friendly and will accommodate any request upon request.

The treatments in the Ayurveda area were unique. Every day approx. 3 hours treatments of the best quality. Thank you so much for that!!! I had the best therapist ever. Everyone was very friendly and competent. I felt very good and deeply relaxed after the 2 weeks.

The kitchen always conjured up quite wonderful food.

Beautiful pool in the paradisiacal garden.

Our room was spacious, clean and beautiful with a view of the river, large balcony and a very nicely designed outdoor shower (not all rooms have). Dreamlike is also the idyllic garden with colorful birds and many squirrels, several small pavilions for dining and two large pools! In the first week, we unfortunately found little sleep in 4 consecutive nights, because the villa and the pool next to us were rented several times to people from the neighborhood for celebrations. Sri Lanka was in a severe economic crisis during our stay and many Ayurveda tourists* unfortunately cancelled their bookings. Therefore it was understandable for us that the operator of the hotel had to find a way to pay his running costs and the staff. After some discussions the situation could be clarified so that we could enjoy the remaining time in peace. We assume that this was an exception due to the crisis and that the owner and his son attach importance to providing guests with a relaxed and quiet stay. In the surrounding area there are many mosques whose prayers can be heard several times a day and usually once in the morning between 5 and 6am, but this did not bother us too much. Walking through Dharga Town you can get to know a less touristy Sri Lankan town (shopping facilities available) or take the bikes to the beach of Bentota.

All staff members were incredibly friendly, accommodating and read our every wish from our eyes. Every day we were provided with new drinking water and every few days we got fresh flowers for our room. The owner, Mr. Ilyias, was always available for us, speaks good German and responded to many of our wishes. For my partner's birthday he even organized a cake, a cooking class and a dinner on the floating restaurant.

The treatments (daily at least 2.5 hours!) by the warm and competent therapist team were incredibly beneficial and relaxing. The morning yoga with the doctor by the river was also very good for us, even if the style was a bit unusual for us at first. The doctor focuses on cleansing the body, so we experienced a total of 3 elimination procedures. At the end of the healing therapies we felt relaxed and recovered, but chronic illnesses could unfortunately not be alleviated in the long term.

Even though this is very unusual for Sri Lankan cuisine, the chef did his best to prepare the food less spicy, as I am not allowed to eat spicy food due to a chronic gastrits. We always enjoyed the dishes and they were varied. The portions were almost a bit too big for us.

The pool and treatment rooms are very nicely designed and clean. The music during the treatments also contributed to the feeling of relaxation. The path from the treatment rooms to the toilet was partly under water during our travel time (rainy season!) and was slippery, so there were a few minor "accidents". However, the problem was fixed during our stay.
