Traditional Ayurveda resort by the Siddhalepa Group, set in a picturesque beachfront location. Exclusively for Ayurveda guests and their travel companions, featuring a highly qualified team of Ayurveda doctors and medicine produced in-house. Immerse yourself in 200 years of Ayurveda history and knowledge from the Siddhalepa family.
The Siddhalepa Ayurveda Health Resort, nestled in a tropical garden by the beach, has been welcoming guests for about 25 years. Certified as an Ayurveda hospital, this resort is reserved for Ayurveda guests and their travel companions and is part of the Siddhalepa Group, a family business nurturing Ayurveda traditions for over 200 years. In addition to Ayurveda centers in Germany, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic, the company also operates an Ayurveda hospital and university in Sri Lanka. Today, the company is renowned for its Ayurvedic products in Germany, ISO-certified and EU-licensed.
About 200 years ago, the Hettigoda family began producing and distributing Ayurvedic products under the brand name Siddhalepa. The production in the factory in Sri Lanka cleverly combines traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with the latest technology and constant research and improvement of formulas. The products are regularly state-tested, awarded the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and are now available worldwide, including in Germany.
The Siddhalepa brand's range includes essential balms and oils, Ayurvedic cosmetics and care products, toothpaste, as well as Ayurvedic herbal medicine, dietary supplements, elixirs, and tea. Guests of Siddhalepa hotels are invited to visit the factory and learn more about the group.
Popular with both locals and tourists, Wadduwa is located on the south-west coast of Sri Lanka.
The resort features an open beachfront restaurant and another air-conditioned restaurant on the first floor near the lobby. In consultation with Ayurveda doctors, Ayurvedic dishes are served. Depending on occupancy, Ayurveda guests enjoy skillfully prepared vegetarian dishes either as a set menu or from the buffet. White fish complements the menu. International dishes are also available upon request. If desired, meals can also be enjoyed in the privacy of your room.
The team, consisting of 5 Ayurveda doctors and several therapists, trained at the Siddhalepa Ayurveda Hospital, boasts exceptional qualifications. Their extensive experience with international guests further enhances the reputation of the Ayurveda therapy at the Siddhalepa Ayurveda Health Resort. There are 22 treatment rooms available for Ayurveda treatments tailored to individual needs and focuses. The traditional healing art of Ayurveda is ideal for cardiovascular issues, high cholesterol, hypertension, metabolic disorders or obesity, skin diseases, migraines, respiratory diseases, bronchitis and asthma, diabetes, rheumatism, and more. Yoga and meditation complement the therapy (also available poolside). Those seeking highly personalised advice and authentic Ayurveda therapy will find it here.
The resort boasts a spacious freshwater pool with a waterfall and a small gym near the pool. A sea breeze through the garden, grown with medicinal herbs, leads you to a relaxation area in the mangrove grove on the beach, ideal for beach walks. Additionally, the hotel offers lectures, 90-minute Ayurvedic cooking classes (approx. 35€ (approx. UK £30 / USD $37), for 2 people, payable locally) and various excursions (for a fee).
Several 1-3-storey buildings are spread across the grounds, housing a total of 50 rooms. The amenities meet Western standards with a seating area, rain shower, bathroom/toilet, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, coffee/tea set, fan, air conditioning, safe, and mini-fridge. Each room features its own Sinhalese theme and individual charm. Superior (approx. 42 sqm) with terrace or balcony overlooking the pool and garden. Deluxe (approx. 49 sqm) with terrace and sea view. Siddhalepa Ayurvedic resort is something very special: traditional, very effective medicine from its own production with good treatments and massages in a somewhat outdated resort in the middle of a wonderful garden. The ambience is relaxed, charmingly outdated, but there are great old trees and lots of birds, monkeys, squirrels etc. on the grounds. The staff are extremely courteous and friendly - I felt very well looked after. The doctors and therapists are very attentive. Knowledge of English is a great advantage, but there is always the option of getting help from a member of staff who speaks perfect German.

My fourth Ayurveda retreat at the Siddhalepa Resort was once again fantastic and extremely relaxing. You couldn't wish for nicer and more competent doctors and therapists, and the whole Siddhapela team couldn't be more helpful. My favorites: the daily yoga class and the huge pool. I'll be back!

The resort is simply neglected, so even the good mood and helpfulness of the staff is of no use. Treatments are perfect, unfortunately in dingy, stuffy rooms.

Ambience and staff very good. In need of renovation in many parts of the complex. But it is being done. Ayurveda treatments are very medical but effective and sustainable. Breakfast too European. We feel relaxed.
