Taj Bentota Resort & Spa

The hotel is very nice, the rooms very clean, the pool area very nicely designed with a beautiful view of the sea and beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We felt very comfortable!

The hotel has a very inviting lobby area. You are greeted in a friendly and courteous manner and your luggage is taken care of without being asked. The check-in was very friendly and pleasant. There was a welcome drink and everything was very well prepared. As we arrived very early and our room was not yet ready, the waiting time was sweetened with a breakfast. We were then shown to our room and told everything we needed to know about the hotel. We were greeted with fresh fruit in our room. The room was newly renovated, looked very high quality and had a fantastic view of the garden and the sea. Everything was very clean, cleaned twice a day, water and tea/coffee replenished and towels changed when needed. Our room boy Jinendra did a perfect job. The hotel grounds are very spacious and terraced. There are many sunbathing lawns, a large pool area and various outdoor terraces. There are also shaded areas/umbrellas and plenty of sun loungers. Towels for pool or beach visits are available everywhere. There are several access points to the extensive beach. Wellness and entertainment are available. Travel arrangements, cab and tuk-tuk drivers are available for excursions.

The service left nothing to be desired. Everything was to our complete satisfaction. The staff were friendly, available and helpful around the clock.

We used the fitness center and the spa. Both were to our complete satisfaction.

Breakfast consisted of an extensive/varied buffet. You had the choice between regional and international delicacies. Various dishes were even freshly prepared right in front of your eyes. We were served very attentively, and waiter Sam in particular took excellent care of us. The restaurants and bars also left nothing to be desired. The cocktails were particularly delicious.

A great pool with excellent service. Everything was very clean and tidy. The pool and service staff were always available and very helpful. The spa area was an oasis of calm and the massage was relaxing.

Nice hotel, however 5 stars are exaggerated, some areas such as Bathrooms need renovation. Lobby impressive and the location is perfect.

The staff was very friendly and committed, especially in the restaurant very attentive and helpful with questions about the food, surroundings, etc.

The choice of dishes was very large, local and national specialties were nicely presented. Everything was refilled and presented freshly and nicely. For breakfast more freshly squeezed juices / smothies would have been nice.

The spa area is beautifully laid out, very clean and with pleasant background music and friendly staff. The pool area is very nice, but when the hotel is full there are not enough pool chairs available.
