Ideal after your stay at the Dead Sea.
Day 1: Depart in the morning from the Dead Sea to Wadi Rum - Encounter with the Desert. Described by T. E. Lawrence as "vast, echoing and god-like," Wadi Rum is Jordan's largest and most magnificent desert landscape. During a Bedouin Jeep tour (approx. 1.5-2 hours) through the rugged terrain, experience the pristine nature and expansiveness of the desert at the original locations from "Lawrence of Arabia" – a desert adventure of a special kind. Afterwards, continue to Petra, 2 nights at Petra Guesthouse (4 stars) or Mövenpick Resort Petra (5 stars).
Day 2: Full-day excursion "Rose-Red Petra". Discover the 2000-year-old red rock city of Petra, Jordan's most impressive cultural monument, often referred to as the "eighth wonder of the world". The city, nestled in a mountain basin, is accessible only through a narrow, approximately 1.5 km long gorge with cliffs up to 200 m high, known as the "Siq". Ride on horseback to this gorge. At the end of the gorge, which you will traverse on foot, experience an unforgettable view of the Treasury "El Khaznet", the landmark of Petra. However, it is just the beginning of the attractions in Petra. On various hiking and climbing tours, visitors can literally see hundreds of buildings, facades, tombs, baths, as well as mysterious rock drawings and reliefs. These sights are most beautiful in the early morning and late afternoon when the sun warms the colourful stones of the buildings, bathing them in a rose-red light.
Day 3: Transfer to Amman Airport.
