Yoga, Trekking & Culture in the Himalayas in Detail

Journey Overview

The combination of daily meditation, yoga, stretching, mantra chanting, and trekking in the powerful atmosphere of the Himalayas offers a fulfilling physical challenge and strengthens the spirit. The tours are open to everyone, whether you are a yoga beginner or advanced, providing a unique experience to strengthen both body and soul.

In the spectacular landscape of the Himalayas, you will experience hiking as a form of meditation: the rhythm of your steps, like a mantra, leads you higher up the peaks and deeper into yourself. With yoga and asanas, you train balance, flexibility, strength, and endurance. In the fresh and clean mountain air, you will explore soothing and energizing breathing techniques that further lead you to meditation. The communal chanting of mantras around a campfire is a perfect conclusion to an intense day.

All this amidst the beautiful surroundings of the Indian Himalayas. You will trek through enchanting landscapes with green meadows, ancient forests, wild rivers, deep gorges, and snow-capped peaks, far away from civilization.

The Team

With Sarah or Noor. The experienced yoga instructors will teach creative and harmonious yoga sessions twice daily, incorporating all aspects of yoga. They will cater to the participants' needs and combine asanas with pranayama, relaxation techniques, meditation, mantra chanting, and yoga philosophy.

On all our treks, we have at least one (for larger groups from 6 participants, two) trained local mountain guide with us. The mountain guides have all completed the Indian mountaineering training, and many of them have also participated in advanced courses. They are familiar with the trekking routes and know the terrain excellently. The mountain guides all speak English.

Additionally, there is a local team consisting of a cook (if the group only has two participants, the mountain guide also takes on the duties of the cook), helpers, horsemen with horses or Nepalese porters, depending on the type of trek.
