The stylish Aida Ayurveda Resort & Spa (formerly Avinya Ayurveda Bentota by Aida) is located in the vibrant coastal town of Bentota on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, nestled within a tropical garden, just across the coastal road and railway from the fine sandy Bentota Beach (about an 8-minute walk). This boutique resort blends stylish ambiance with comfort and specialises in Ayurveda, the ancient healing philosophy. Pavilions on various levels, connected by open corridors, small patios, and stone gardens. The garden, with loungers for resting after treatments, and the pool with a whirlpool in the shallow end, provide a tranquil retreat despite its proximity to the bustling small town life.

The Ayurveda Resort is located in Bentota, Sri Lanka. Bentota is also the starting point for the Southern Province of Sri Lanka, a region where many local traditions and customs are maintained. The resort is only a 1.5-hour drive from Colombo Airport and is close to the Bentota River, just 5 minutes from the beach.

At the open Ayurveda restaurant by the pool, indulge in fresh Ayurvedic meals tailored to your doshas (vegetarian) at the buffet. During the weekly cooking class, learn about the ingredients and preparation of the diverse Ayurvedic cuisine, and upon request, receive tips for integrating healthy eating into your daily life. At the public "Aida" restaurant across the street, both bathers and travel companions can dine at their leisure.

Connected to the main building, the Ayurveda Center features three experienced Ayurveda doctors and several therapists. The center includes two consultation rooms, 10 treatment rooms for over 25 different treatments, Ayurvedic herbal and steam baths in the garden, and an Ayurveda herbal sauna "Kutti", heated with fragrant herbs and woods. The production process of the herbal medicine used is subject to strict quality controls. Yoga and meditation sessions are held either on the covered terrace on the first floor or overlooking the Bentota River in the garden of the side wing.

The beautiful garden, complete with a large outdoor pool with whirlpool, sunbathing lawn, and tea bar, is the perfect place to relax and unwind. An open-air amphitheatre, jewellery shop, tailor, and weekly evening entertainment (subject to availability) enhance the leisure options. Also recommended are walks, for example, to Bentota Beach (approx. 5 mins) or to the market, as well as excursions to the picturesque Induruwa Beach (approx. 10 mins). Additional experiences such as a boat trip on the Bentota River or excursions to Galle, Maadu River, Bawa Gardens, etc., can be booked on site for a fee.
