Opening in 2024, the newly inaugurated Bancal Hotel & Spa on La Gomera impresses with its modern design, terraced grounds, and stunning sea views. Where once a tomato plantation thrived, today stands the Bancal, harmoniously integrated into the surroundings with privileged views of the neighbouring island of Tenerife and Mount Teide.

The hotel offers ideal conditions for a relaxed break on La Gomera, while also providing easy access to the island's capital and the lush national parks of La Gomera. Additionally, Bancal Hotel & Spa embraces a contemporary sustainability concept with its own photovoltaic systems and innovative wastewater and energy-saving systems.

Located in the heart of the Atlantic Ocean, less than 50 minutes by ferry from Tenerife, La Gomera remains a largely undiscovered gem of the Canary Islands. Small, wild, and authentic, this island offers a true sanctuary brimming with tranquility, nature, and tradition.

From Bancal Hotel & Spa, you can easily explore all the island's highlights. The Garajonay National Park, located in the heart of the island, is perfect for hiking and nature activities with its lush laurel forests, numerous ravines, and rugged mountain slopes. The picturesque Playa de Ávalo, with a 220m wide pebble beach, is about 2 km north of the hotel and is pleasantly accessible on foot. Protected by two rock walls, the bay is sheltered from strong winds and offers ideal swimming conditions and a place for relaxation, especially during the summer months. The charming centre of San Sebastián de la Gomera is about 5 km away, and the port about 6 km. The hotel's own shuttle bus takes you to the city centre twice daily (approx. £4.40 / USD $5.40 per trip).

Experience the authentic flavours of the Canary Islands at the hotel's various restaurants and bars, where an exquisite selection of local products is carefully prepared. Enjoy a rich breakfast and, if opting for half board, dinner at "La Milana Market" restaurant, where local and seasonal delicacies are served buffet-style. The "Larrife Restaurant", perched atop a cliff, offers unique culinary experiences with panoramic views of Tenerife. Light lunches, snacks, and refreshing drinks are available at the two pool bars. In the evenings, three additional bars offer delicious cocktails and other beverages, accompanied by live music.

For a break from everyday life, the AUALA Wellness & Spa (approx. 25€/day) with Water Area and Thermal Area offers a haven of peace. In the Water Area, you'll find a heated indoor pool, sensorial showers, cold and hot water pools, a thermal circuit, and an ice fountain. Let the power of water massage you and experience deep relaxation. The Thermal Area features a steam bath, a sauna, a halotherapy salt room, and a relaxation area with heated loungers for your moments of relaxation. Enjoy the tranquility and let your soul unwind. In 4 cabins, a variety of revitalizing wellness and beauty treatments are offered.

The gym is open 24/7 and offers ideal conditions for your personal training with state-of-the-art equipment, large windows, and air conditioning. Additionally, an outdoor fitness area is available, perfect for stretching or functional outdoor training. Regular active classes are also offered, such as yoga and stretching.

At Bancal, you can enjoy 3 heated outdoor pools, including 2 infinity pools with views of the Teide. There are also 2 children's pools for our younger guests. Exclusively for adults, a textile-free naturist sun terrace is available.

Whether hiking in the national park, cycling, or visiting charming villages, La Gomera has much to offer.
The hotel is certified as "Cycling Friendly" and features a Bike Point with storage facilities, a bike wash, a workshop, and an e-bike rental service.
For children, there is a Mini and Maxi Club (ages 4-16) with a room for cinema and theatre performances. Additionally, billiards, table tennis, foosball, and a games and reading room are available.
