Awaken, find yourself: As the sun climbs over the mountain ridges and gently awakens the valley, start your day with meditation or yoga. After a nourishing breakfast, the day is yours for outdoor activities, visiting coastal towns, or simply relaxing on the beach and by the pool. Whether hiking and mountain biking, swimming, or exploring Greek antiquity, each day offers a new experience. In the late afternoon, depending on the course, practice more yoga sessions and then enjoy a healthy dinner featuring vegetarian and vegan delights from the Greek cuisine, sourced from organic, local produce wherever possible.

Exceptional culinary nourishment is also provided at the Home of Silence. Chef Ulli uses vegetables and fruits from the region for her vegetarian and vegan dishes, buys authentic Greek cheese at the local market, and lets you taste the fine Kalamata olives and oils – the specialties of the Peloponnese.

At Home of Silence, the day begins with traditional Ayurvedic oil pulling before morning yoga exercises. The turmeric tooth oil acts antibacterially, ensuring a fresh start to the day. Afterwards, teeth can be gently cleaned with organic tooth powder containing ginger or ginseng. To perfectly complement the yoga sessions, various body care options are available throughout the day, such as relaxing massages with high-quality organic care oils like baobab, moringa, or argan oil. This is followed by refreshing body care with shower powder and an intensive hair wash including a hair treatment. While the eucalyptus shower powder provides an extra freshness boost, a hair treatment detoxifies through the scalp and nourishes dry hair. All natural cosmetic products are 100% organic-certified, vegan, and gentle on skin and hair.

Sustainability, responsibility, and health are at the heart of our team's ethos. We use home textiles from hessnatur, made from natural organic cotton grown without harmful substances or questionable processes. In the spirit of sustainability, towels are changed only upon request, not daily. You will sleep on luxury Japanese futons, handcrafted exclusively from natural materials. Our organic cleaning agents and yoga mat cleaners are supplied by Planet Pure, a leading company founded in 1999 by Silvio. During your stay, you will be provided with natural cosmetics from the certified organic brand 'Eliah Sahil Organic Care', founded in 2008 by Silvio out of love for nature and his son Eliah, creating products that are gentle on both people and the environment. Our energy supply and water heating are powered by solar energy, stored in batteries, while our water supply comes from the mountain village 'Panorama' with its own spring, stored in tanks at the hotel.

Silvio Perpmer was introduced to yoga as a child. In 2002, Paramapadma Dhiranandaji initiated him into the technique of Kriya Yoga and trained him as a certified yoga teacher. Since then, Silvio has been opening the path of Kriya Yoga to his students as a way to unify everything in this world: career and family, yoga and meditation. His knowledge of the body, gained through his training as a certified medical masseur, also benefits his students. With Home of Silence, Silvio Perpmer invites those who wish to retreat from the bustling world for a while – to get closer to themselves and their true selves.

In your free time, the surroundings beckon: beach romantics will delight in the fine sandy beaches at Kalo Nero and Elaía, where you can wander for miles without encountering another soul. Adventurers can tackle challenging mountain bike trails through the forests. Those who prefer a gentle stroll in the dappled shade will enjoy excursions to the endless olive groves. Other highlights within driving distance include the Ox Belly Bay with its turquoise waters, Kalamata—the 'capital' of olive cultivation, and the impressive ancient Temple of Apollo at Bassae (a UNESCO World Heritage site). Just a few kilometres from the Home of Silence, 15 to 20 minutes by car, lie nearly untouched beaches—visited once a year by thousands of sea turtles laying their eggs. Hiking trails lead directly from the lodges into the stunning natural landscape of the Peloponnese, while quaint shepherd and fishing villages await visitors.
