Located directly on the beach, your Ayurveda Resort Hiru Beach is a small, family-friendly haven with character. As the sister resort to the other three Hiru Ayurveda Resorts - Villa, Mudra, and Om - it offers guests holistic relaxation through authentic Ayurveda. The architecture blends classic colonial with Sinhalese elements, creating stylish comfort. The boutique resort is surrounded by a lush flowering garden and tall coconut palms. The openly designed lounges offer unobstructed views of the garden and the sea. The cheerful, warm colour scheme and the golden sandy beach create a unique atmosphere of well-being.

In the west of Sri Lanka, nestled between Bentota and Ambalangoda, lies the coastal town of Kosgoda. Once active in cinnamon cultivation and fishing, it is now renowned for its sea turtle farm and the nearly pristine Kosgoda Beach.

The restaurant offers a beautiful view over the garden and pool to the sea. Here you will enjoy Ayurvedic dishes, which are compiled by the Ayurveda doctor and therapist team and tailored to your constitutional type (Dosha). If you want to take the Ayurvedic cuisine home or share the knowledge with family and friends, you have the opportunity to participate in cooking classes here.

In the garden, the Ayurveda Center features 5 treatment rooms where a highly experienced team, including an Ayurvedic doctor and several therapists, awaits to provide you with a personalized Ayurvedic therapy. For optimal results, you will receive at least 4 treatments daily, incorporating classic elements of Panchakarma suitable for vitalization, regeneration, strengthening, and immune system enhancement. The Ayurvedic medicine used is made entirely from natural ingredients. A yoga platform is available for yoga, meditation, music therapy, and Qi Gong.

The science of longevity serves as a versatile tool in various areas such as migraine, diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, allergies, back pain, skin, digestive or circulatory disorders, weight management, multiple sclerosis, and more.

Yoga

Primarily Hatha - conducted at Hiru Beach 5 times a week as a group in the Yoga Pavilion. The term Hatha is derived from the syllables "ha-" (sun, active life) and "-tha" (moon, rest, emotions, intuition), focusing on the physically oriented branch of yoga that deals with balancing opposites. The aim of various body (Asanas) and breathing exercises (Pranayama) is to unite these components, achieving personal balance.

Qi Gong

Used to regulate the flow of energy (Qi) in the body. Qi Gong, from the realm of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), is offered twice a week as part of the therapy in a group setting. Through breathing and concentration exercises, gentle movements, and meditation, the mind can become clearer, the body stronger, and the individual healthier.

Outdoor pool with sun loungers or beach for relaxing moments after treatments (please do not go into direct sunlight after a treatment). Swimming in the sea is only allowed after consulting with the staff (due to currents). The hotel features a library. Evening events are available such as music and dance performances. The Hiru team is happy to organize various local excursions, for example, to the Kosgoda Turtle Farm (about 30 minutes drive), Meetiyagoda Moonstone Mine (about 1 hour drive), or the port city of Galle (about 1 hour drive).
