The family-run Hiru Villa Ayurveda Resort, managed by an English-speaking team, is perched on a rocky elevation about 82 feet above sea level. Here, you truly experience harmony between the sun (Hiru), earth, wind, and sea. The sea (a small bay) is accessed via a staircase (about 60 steps) and is perfect for swimming. Alternatively, a 5-minute walk takes you to a long sandy beach. With breathtaking views, a tropical garden with loungers, bird and frog songs, and a welcoming sun terrace, this is the ideal place for your therapy.

Located on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, about 3 miles north of Beruwela, lies the small, authentic village of Maggona. Its slightly elevated position often brings a gentle breeze, providing welcome relief during hot periods.

In the colourful Ayurveda restaurant, typical Sinhalese and Ayurvedic dishes are served as a menu (vegetarian option available, occasionally white fish). Individual dietary needs according to Dosha and recommendations from the Ayurveda doctor are catered for. Weather permitting, there is also the option to dine outdoors. The open kitchen invites guests to watch and, if desired, participate in cooking - it's worth it!

The heart of the hotel features 10 treatment rooms and a professional team comprising 3 Ayurveda doctors and highly qualified therapists, offering treatments outdoors as well, such as Ayurvedic foot massages or floral baths. The Ayurvedic medicine used is made entirely from natural ingredients, and Ayurvedic cosmetics, which nurture beauty from both inside and out, are also available. The open yoga pavilion, built atop a rocky peak, not only provides stunning views but also a gentle breeze during sessions. Qi Gong and music therapy perfectly complement the Ayurveda therapy.

Ideal for metabolic disorders, digestive issues, over/underweight and cellulite, skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis, high blood pressure, migraines, diabetes, allergies, joint pain, rheumatism, arthritis, osteoarthritis, and burnout. In Hiru Villa, also highly effective for Parkinson's and Multiple Sclerosis.

Hiru & Dosha

Hiru - Sun - in Ayurveda, represents the element of fire. Particularly, the Dosha types Kapha & Vata can draw significant energy from the sun, as they inherently possess limited fire. However, fiery Pitta types should be cautious with excessive natural light, as their skin may react sensitively.

Saltwater infinity pool (approx. 5 x 20 m). Explore the surroundings with relaxing beach walks or discover the underwater world through diving/snorkelling. The hotel offers excursions to temples, colonial relics, the "Briefgarden" Botanical Garden in Beruwela, and to the Lighthouse Island featuring one of the four international lighthouses of Sri Lanka (about 20 minutes by boat). On request, the hotel can provide packed lunches.
