Dining & Leisure

At the hotel restaurant, indulge in a diverse cuisine featuring regional specialties and fresh ingredients. The lavish breakfast buffet is available from 7 a.m., and on weekends, enjoy a late-riser gourmet breakfast until 11 a.m. With half board, savour a choice of a 3-course menu or a buffet (at the chef's discretion). In the covered beer garden and the adjoining brewery, typical dishes and freshly tapped beer from the in-house brewery are served. In fine weather, the sun terrace by the fountain pond is a perfect spot to relax. In the stylish hotel bar, enjoy fresh cocktails and other cool beverages.

Spanning approximately 1,000 sqm, discover pure wellness delight in our modern spa area featuring indoor and outdoor saunas, an indoor pool, relaxation zones, and an expansive sauna garden. The surrounding area offers numerous hiking and cycling trails, inviting you to explore the breathtaking landscapes on foot or by bike. Nearby nature reserves allow you to discover a rich variety of wildlife and flora. Attractions such as Heide Park, Serengeti Park, and the World Bird Park offer fun and adventure for the whole family. The hotel grounds themselves boast a 20,000 sqm lawn area with plenty to offer. A guided tour to the hotel's own Welsh Black herd can be organized on-site (for a fee).

The hotel's 99 rooms and suites are spread across four buildings and are styled in various designs. Rooms are located in the main building, the brewery house, the country house (annex, approx. 50 m), and the guest house (annex, approx. 150 m). Some rooms feature air conditioning. The Superior rooms are located in the brand-new extension of the main building (since November 2024).

The three wellness days at the Forellenhof were wonderful! The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was great! Nothing was missing! Pure enjoyment! Spa area very clean and cozy. I had a massage which was wonderful! The staff in the spa area are very friendly and courteous. We will definitely come here more often!
