The Spirit of Life Resort combines the millennia-old wisdom of authentic Ayurveda with the serene power of nature and the warm atmosphere of a family-run hotel. With only a few suites, cottages, and apartments - including the iconic Frangipani Villa - it guarantees utmost privacy and an ambiance of natural elegance. Open bathrooms under palm trees, fragrant gardens, and proximity to the hotel's own herb cultivation create an environment where body and mind can gently relax and rejuvenate.

Nestled in the tropical landscape of Sri Lanka, Spirit of Life is located in Induruwa in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka, in the small, tranquil village of Gonagala Pura - a region renowned for its natural beauty, gentle palm groves, and relaxed atmosphere. The serene surroundings invite leisurely strolls through the village, interactions with the local community, and short excursions to nearby natural areas. The long sandy beach of Induruwa and the coastline of the Southern Province are just a short distance away.

The cuisine follows the principles of Ayurveda and combines authentic Sri Lankan flavors with healing lightness. Each dish is individually tailored and prepared from fresh, Ayurvedic ingredients - many of which come from the resort's own organic herb cultivation. Warming Kasaya decoctions, fragrant spices, and nourishing meals accompany the day and support personal balance. Meals are served in a tranquil ambiance, making dining a meditative experience.

The 200 sqm Ayurveda Center, housed in a separate building traditionally decorated, features four comfortable treatment rooms, a steam bath, and two herbal bath cabins. Each guest receives a personalised therapy program ranging from gentle cleansing rituals to intensive Panchakarma treatments. A team of an experienced Ayurveda doctor and seven qualified therapists ensures the highest professionalism. Treatments are unisex, ensuring each treatment is perfectly tailored to the guest for maximum effect and profound well-being. Treatments are usually conducted consecutively, but can be adjusted flexibly upon request and availability. Daily Hatha Yoga and meditation sessions with experienced local teachers complete the program, promoting inner balance and sustainable regeneration. An English translation is available for international guests. Consultations with the Ayurveda doctor are available daily from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Between Ayurveda treatments, Spirit of Life offers a variety of ways to mindfully shape your day. Guests can linger in the tropical garden, take meditative walks, or participate in inspiring workshops. A private beach area is just a few minutes away by complimentary tuk-tuk, perfect for peaceful beach walks, ocean meditations, or relaxing hours by the water. Excursions to local markets, temples, or natural sites provide cultural insights.
