Moor, Springs & Brine
Mud, Brine & Springs - Healthy with Bad Pyrmont's Natural Treasures!Therapy with natural mud improves joint mobility, relaxes muscles, and optimizes blood circulation throughout the body. The natural brine has a calming effect. The increased buoyancy in brine water provides intense muscle and cardiovascular training, specifically relieving joints and the back. And then, using salt and brine for respiratory pathways, skin, the autonomic nervous system, and against allergies? A visit to one of the salt and brine grottos in the Hufeland Spa or in the Wandelhalle ensures this. In Bad Pyrmont, the "Healthy Seven" springs bubble up - many sources - two different types of medicinal water: the brine-containing sodium chloride acidulous and the calcium- and magnesium-rich hydrogencarbonate acidulous. As a drinking therapy, you can enjoy these in the Wandelhalle while strolling.

The town is surrounded by gentle hills, from which numerous lookout towers offer splendid views. The surrounding area, with its numerous Weser Renaissance buildings and the Weser Cycle Path, makes for rewarding excursions. The Bad Pyrmont terrain therapy network offers four routes with varying levels of difficulty.
The Spa Park

Through 17 theme gardens, you can take a miniature world tour, from the Hemlock fir of the Rocky Mountains to the Kobushi magnolia from Japan and the native Süntel beech. Since 1912, the exotic palm garden - the northernmost outdoor palm facility in Europe - has enchanted visitors with about 500 specimens up to 12 metres tall from spring to autumn. The park is interspersed with discounts and native flowers, fountains, and shrubs. The facility extends as a mountain spa park into the surroundings of the town. Here, you can discover over 300 edible wild plants and shrubs. Engage your senses in the walking school. On the barefoot course with eight different natural materials, your sense of touch is challenged. Afterwards, head to the Kneipp facility for refreshment during the day and relaxation in the evening with stimulus-response therapy.

The respiratory tract is gently moisturized, respiratory function improved, and the bronchi stimulated for self-cleaning through brine inhalation. A second brine grotto is located in the promenade hall. Ayurvedic massages at AYURLANKA. Hufeland Bistro and dining in the Alpine hut.
The Natural Remedies
Bad Pyrmont excels with consolidated health expertise across various medical fields, utilising its valuable natural remedies.
The Healthy Seven The springs emerge in the Valley of Springs and are administered directly at the source, in the therapy centres, and in the promenade hall. Bad Pyrmont boasts the rarity of two different types of medicinal water: the brine-containing sodium chloride acidulous waters and the calcium- and magnesium-rich hydrogencarbonate acidulous waters.
Brine Brine baths have a calming effect on the autonomic nervous system. Brine movement baths, due to increased buoyancy, allow for intensive muscle and cardiovascular training. Movements in brine water specifically relieve joints and the back.
Moor The therapeutic moor allows for very high application temperatures over an extended period while being well tolerated. At temperatures between 105 to 115°F, an optimal therapeutic effect is achieved. A treatment with natural moor leads to improved joint mobility, muscle relaxation, and enhanced circulation throughout the body.
CO2 Spring Gas and the Steam Cave The Steam Cave is a unique natural phenomenon. CO2 spring gas invisibly flows from a rock fissure at the Helvetius Hill to the surface. The carbon dioxide degasses from a magma source at a depth of 13,123 feet and is the driving force behind all of Bad Pyrmont's medicinal springs. CO2 brings these healing waters to daylight. Central and peripheral vessels are better circulated, relieving the heart and circulatory system.
The Health Centers
Queen Luise Bath Named after the Prussian queen who frequently visited Bad Pyrmont for therapy, the Queen Luise Bath is the central health center of the State Spa Pyrmont. It hosts naturopaths and specialists in internal medicine, psychotherapeutic medicine, orthopedics, and physical medicine, along with three spa physicians. A large team of therapists offers movement therapies, physiotherapy, brine movement baths, brine inhalation, brine photo-therapy, massages, lymphatic drainage, relaxation therapies, inhalations, natural moor packs and baths, brine tub baths, CO2 mineral baths, dietary advice, and discussion groups for health education.
Clinic Der Fürstenhof A center of excellence for musculoskeletal disorders! Specialized clinic for orthopedics, osteoporosis, metabolic bone diseases, rheumatology, and gynecology. Specialists in orthopedics, internal medicine, rheumatology, and gynecology provide comprehensive diagnostics including ultrasound, X-ray, bone density measurement (DXA), biopsies, joint aspirations, laboratory tests, and ECG. A large team of therapists offers physiotherapy, medical exercise therapy, sports therapy for specific indications - also in the brine movement bath, occupational therapy, physical therapy/balneotherapy (moor packs, brine tub baths, carbonic acid iron baths), psychological therapies, dietary advice, teaching kitchen, and health education.
Free Time
A visit to the Hufeland Therme and the Pyrmont Wave adventure pool with indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, giant slide, and outdoor slide is worthwhile. Directly adjacent to the spa park, Pyrmont Castle with its museum invites exploration. The airfield of Bad Pyrmont, nestled in the Weser Uplands, offers not only splendid excursions but also unforgettable scenic flights. In Bad Pyrmont, there is a moderately challenging golf course, with additional courses within a 45 km radius. Bad Pyrmont is situated between the Teutoburg Forest and the Weser Uplands, making it a paradise for hiking and cycling. Nearby are the Externsteine and the Hermann Monument.
