Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are particularly common in women. They are less common in men, but potentially more serious when they do occur.
The symptoms of UTIs are similar to those described in Ayurveda as Mutrakriccha. The article presents a case study of a 24-year-old man who suffered from symptoms of urinary tract infection such as burning and pain on urination, weakness and mild dizziness and was treated with various Ayurvedic medicines and dietary recommendations.
The patient experienced significant relief of symptoms, which continued at the follow-up visit after 15 days. This case demonstrates the efficacy of Ayurvedic internal medicines in the treatment of mutrakriccha and recommends it as a viable option for the treatment of urinary tract infections.
