High blood pressure
In a study, Okayama University investigated the biochemical mechanisms at work in a thermal cure containing thoron .
In order to prove the thesis that thermal water containing thoron has a positive effect on high blood pressure and diabetes mellitus, the Japanese researchers examined the time-dependent changes in vasoactive and diabetes-related substances as well as the lipid peroxide concentration in human blood. A 40-minute nasal inhalation of Thoron-containing vapor was performed every two days and blood samples were taken one, two and three weeks after the start of the study after each treatment.
Over the course of the study, ketone body and lipid peroxide concentrations were reduced, suggesting that diabetes mellitus was improved and peroxidation prevented. In addition, the changes in the vasoactive substances suggest an increase in tissue perfusion, thus alleviating high blood pressure.
