Thalasso treatment
The aim of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of marine-derived resources in the treatment of specific conditions and to identify optimal treatment methods. Fifteen eligible studies with 1325 participants aged 42.7-63.0 years were included. Different types of treatment were analyzed, and significant improvements in osteoarthritis severity, osteoarthritis pain, fibromyalgia pain, and quality of life were found.
A subgroup analysis showed greater efficacy with sun exposure in combination with seawater and additional therapies such as mud packs and sulphur pool therapy. The results suggest that seawater therapy shows promise in treating chronic skin problems, relieving musculoskeletal pain and improving the quality of life of patients with musculoskeletal pain.
