Location & Surroundings
Oberkirch is a picturesque town on the sunny side of the Black Forest. With its idyllic location on the edge of the Rench Valley and surrounded by hills and dense forests, Oberkirch is a true retreat for nature lovers and those seeking relaxation. The old town is characterised by half-timbered houses and historic buildings, conveying a sense of tradition and history. A walk through the narrow alleys and beautiful squares of the town is like a journey into the past. A landmark of the town is the imposing Schauenberg Castle, towering high above the town and offering an impressive view of the surroundings. The surrounding forests are perfect for extensive hikes and bike rides. Moreover, the landscape is characterised by viticulture and fruit growing. Strasbourg is only 20km away.

The hotel is currently undergoing a transformation, evolving from a cosy hotel into a serene Ayurveda retreat, designed to offer guests a holistic experience in a harmonious and spiritually enriching environment. The operator boasts over 15 years of Ayurveda experience, with a team that includes 3 Indian Ayurveda specialists and approximately 4 therapists and yogis. The retreat features 5 treatment rooms for various traditional Ayurvedic treatments such as Abhyanga full-body oil massage, Kashaya Dhara herbal or Shirodhara oil forehead pour, Pinda Sveda herbal poultice massage, Svedana Ayurvedic steam bath, Shodana detoxification and more. Yoga and meditation are also available.
Please bring your own bathrobe, two bath towels, and bath shoes for the treatments.
