Indulge in a sense of relaxation and unwind at this power spot with a breathtaking view of the Zahmer Kaiser in the Tyrolean Kaiser Mountains. Embark on hikes right from the doorstep of the Veggi-hotel. In winter, enjoy cross-country skiing, ski slopes, tobogganing, and snowshoe hiking.
Giving yourself time entirely to yourself works wonders. Distance from everyday life, new inspirations, the powerful Alpine landscape, time with like-minded people. At a place without luxury, so that the true luxury - time for oneself - can shine in its glory. The Mountain Retreat Center is the ideal place for this. The pure air. The view into nature towards the Zahmer Kaiser. The freshness of the water. The tranquility of the moment. At the Mountain Retreat Center, you feel the moment. Nature. Treat yourself to a break just for you. Breathe deeply and marvel.
The Mountain Retreat Center, located in the quaint Bavarian village of Sachrang in Chiemgau, right on the border with Austria, is just a 15-minute drive from the A8 motorway at Frasdorf. Quietly and modestly, it stands atop a hill, overlooking the valley and the surrounding mountains. The Tyrolean Zahme Kaiser is within easy reach.
The cuisine at the Mountain Retreat Center is 100% vegetarian and almost entirely organic. According to the Chinese, the most important meal of the day is breakfast. Here, great emphasis is placed on a wholesome, nutritious breakfast, always including warm porridge and freshly baked bread. Lunch features soup and spreads. Dinner consists of vegetarian and vegan dishes and dessert. At the Mountain Retreat Center, guests can adhere to a fully vegan diet. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated with advance notice. The Mountain Retreat Center is a member of the Veggie Hotels.
In the new Swiss pine sauna with a view of the surrounding mountains, you can truly connect with nature. Surrounded by the scent of the forest and the warmth, you'll naturally find peace. The oils and resins of the Swiss pine deepen your breathing and reduce your heart rate. Enjoy this retreat and let time pass by serenely.
On the ground floor, you'll find the bright seminar room styled in an Asian manner with access to the sun terrace. In the basement, there is a smaller seminar room with a direct view of the greenery. Whether you're engaging in yoga, meditation, or further education, the atmosphere in the hotel supports you in fully dedicating yourself to the program content.
The yoga retreat in the mountains is designed as an open program, meaning guests of various yoga levels can arrive and depart on different days and join the ongoing yoga program. Yoga sessions are held in the morning before breakfast and in the late afternoon. The number of participants ranges from 2 to 20. Yoga mats are available, but you are also welcome to bring your own.
Hiking trails lead directly from the hotel to the 1,600m high Spitzstein, to the Priener Hut, to the waterfalls in the valley, or to the region's landmark, the Kampenwand. On the Tyrolean side, numerous mountain peaks and alpine pastures of all difficulty levels await for hiking and mountain tours – a true dream for mountain enthusiasts. Kufstein on the Tyrolean side is a charming town. Walchsee is a refreshing mountain lake. A large outdoor pool is available in nearby Ebbs (Tyrol).
Next to the hotel, there is a small ski area. For cross-country skiers, about 8 km of trails, some with floodlights, are available through the Priental. Equipment can be rented locally at the sports rental shop. For the ultimate winter fun, grab a toboggan and hike up to the Priener Hut. The descent rewards the ascent! Snowshoes can also be rented for hikes. Wellness pleasures can be enjoyed in nearby Ebbs (Tyrol) with various saunas, pools, steam baths, and more.
The hotel is simply furnished, intentionally. A time of simplicity, of retreat to enjoy - pure luxury. And suddenly, you realize how little it takes to be happy. The Mountain Retreat Center has 20 rooms - small, fine, cosy. Each one a special retreat. 8 single rooms, 5 with their own bathroom/toilet. 12 double rooms (double bed or two single beds), 8 with their own bathroom/toilet. The private bathrooms are partly in the room, partly outside the room. Rooms without a bathroom all have their own sinks and share bathrooms/toilets on the same floor. The rooms are deliberately kept TV-free. From some rooms, you have a direct, unique view of the beautiful natural landscape. Around the hotel, you'll find cosy benches to relax and enjoy the silence. In the lounge, there is a library and tea and energized Grander water available all day.

Very nice weekend, met very nice people, the food was also fantastic and the yoga healing therapies helped me to relax, which is otherwise not so easy for me in everyday life. Simply great!
