51 hectares of forest and meadows embrace the extensive grounds, offering unparalleled closeness to nature. Not only the rooms and suites, but especially the restaurant and the approximately 2,000 sqm Heimat & Natur SPA are presented with loving dedication. Moments of well-being at Gut Steinbach are as certain as tranquillity, relaxation, and extraordinary experiences for all senses. The hotel is located about 30 minutes from Lake Chiemsee, right on the border with Austria, at the foot of the Alps.

The charming Reit im Winkl, Germany's most snow-sure location, is within walking distance from the hotel. The Steinplatte ski area is about a 30-minute drive from Gut Steinbach. Additionally, numerous cycling and hiking trails are immediately accessible from the hotel, and the cross-country ski trail even runs directly through the hotel grounds in winter. Munich, Salzburg, and Kitzbühel are also not far away.

At Gut Steinbach, great importance is placed on the use of high-quality and local products. About 80% of the products used come from within an 80 km radius. A credo that has been awarded the Green Star by the Michelin Guide multiple times and is also a delight to taste. Head Chef Achim Hack is a true master at transforming regional ingredients, often from the hotel's own garden, into culinary delights. The restaurant "HEIMAT" with three cosy lounges offers authentic regional cuisine. Additionally, the wine lounge, the fireplace bar, and the sun terrace are perfect places to relax and indulge.

The heart of the hotel, opened as a brand new building in December 2021, the Home & Nature SPA spans approximately 2,000 sqm, designed with fresh woods, vibrant colours, and warm stone tiles from the region. The 16-metre indoor pool invites you to swim leisurely laps while enjoying views either out into nature or up towards the magically reflective ceiling. Three saunas (Finnish sauna, panoramic sauna, and bio sauna) along with a steam room complete the wellness area, complemented by various relaxation oases on the upper floor. A yoga room and a modern gym equipped with Peloton and Precor machines enhance the active programme. The spa and beauty centre also offers selected massages, beauty treatments, and soothing treatments, all using cosmetics from the traditional Bavarian brand Gertraud Gruber.

Reit im Winkl and the Chiemgau region are considered a paradise for nature lovers, families, active sports enthusiasts, and those seeking tranquillity. The range of leisure activities is virtually unlimited and not confined to any season. In summer, you can climb every peak, cycle endless kilometres, hike through narrow canyons, climb trees, and swim in crystal-clear lakes. In winter, several ski areas are available, beautifully groomed cross-country and skating trails around Gut Steinbach, and enchanting forests for long walks.
