Location & Surroundings
In the spa town of Bad Aibling in the district of Rosenheim lies Bavaria's oldest mud spa and its newest thermal spa (approximately 2.5 miles from the hotel). The Schmelmer Hof is situated on the peaceful outskirts of Bad Aibling.

In the hotel's own restaurants, "Wilderer Stube" and "Zirbelstube", the creative kitchen team conjures up down-to-earth dishes reinterpreted and authentic Bavarian cuisine. The culinary offerings are prepared from select regional products. Enjoy your meals in the inviting Wilderer beer garden (seasonal, weather permitting). Half board with late riser gourmet breakfast from the buffet (6:30- 11:00 a.m.), in the evening 3-course menu (partially theme evenings with buffet). Vegetarian, vegan, or dietary meals available on request. In the evening, the hotel bar opens, inviting you for a cool wheat beer or a glass of champagne.

Discover relaxation at the Alpine Spa (approx. 1,200 sqm) featuring exclusive beauty and wellness offerings, a large swimming pool, an adventure pool with underwater massages, a rock waterfall, and a back massage jet. The outdoor area includes wellness loungers and a private seasonal lake (weather permitting, about 300m walk) with views of the foothills of the Alps. The sauna area features a bio-sauna (approx. 60°C), a Finnish sauna (approx. 90°C), as well as a steam bath, an infrared cabin, and a salt grotto. Additionally, the hotel boasts a fitness area.

Amidst the picturesque Mangfall Valley, your holiday days will become a thoroughly carefree and relaxing experience. The impressive backdrop of the Bavarian Alps is always in your field of view. My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. What we really liked: we chose half board and the food was really delicious. The spa area was really relaxing and the massages were just perfect, for me it was a younger woman. Now to the things that could be improved: The bathroom was very small and in general was the cheapest room, I would say rather very old. As for the swimming pool, I think the filter had broken. That's why there was still dirt or sand on the floor. But apart from that I would gladly come back at any time.
