Prana Veda Bali Sanctuary in Detail
Your Yoga & Wellness Retreat
Nestled in a tropical garden filled with fragrant flowers and gently rustling palms, Prana Veda Bali Sanctuary opens directly onto the sea - a place of silence, healing, and inspiration. Away from the tourist crowds, on a pristine lava beach in northern Bali, you'll find space to arrive, breathe, and recharge. In a family-like atmosphere, yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, aqua healing, massages, and the magic of nature invite you to realign your body, mind, and soul. Prana Veda is much more than a holiday destination - it's an invitation to rediscover yourself and experience life with all your senses.
Location & Surroundings
Prana Veda is located in the tranquil north of Bali, directly on a pristine lava beach where the sea gently rolls ashore. Surrounded by tropical gardens, coconut palms, and lush nature, you will experience the island's original beauty. Nearby, you'll find small villages, temples, and traditional ceremonies offering insights into authentic Bali. The journey passes volcanoes, rice fields, and lush landscapes until you reach the peaceful coast and immerse yourself in tranquility.
Dining & Leisure
At Prana Veda Bali, guests enjoy fresh, healthy, and lovingly prepared meals made with ingredients from the hotel's own garden and local market. Freshly caught fish, homemade yogurt, freshly baked bread, and jams from tropical fruits complement the offerings. The cuisine blends Western, Balinese, Thai, Italian, and Ayurvedic influences, available also as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-free options. Freshly pressed juices, smoothies, specialty coffees, and cakes enhance the dining experience. Meals are served in the open Bale with a view of the sea, supported by Dosha-specific recommendations and healing spices.
Ayurveda & Wellness
At Prana Veda Bali, Ayurveda and wellness are experienced as a loving invitation to find your own balance - without the feel of a clinic, without strict guidelines, but with mindful rituals and soothing treatments. The offerings combine traditional treatments such as Abhyanga oil massages, Kizhi herbal poultice massages, and Ayurveda yoga stretch massages with yoga, meditation, dietary advice, and small impulses for more mindfulness. A special highlight is Aqua Healing - a unique form of deep relaxation in the warm Watsu therapy pool, where you can experience letting go, inner silence, and deep regeneration in complete weightlessness. The program is complemented by Balinese massages, Ayurvedic treatments, reflexology, facial treatments, Cleopatra flower baths, and other soothing body and energy work.
Yoga & Meditation
Daily yoga sessions and meditations create space for mindfulness, healing, and personal growth. Practiced in a light-filled room with a wide view over the sea or in the open Yogashala in the tropical garden. The yoga teachers teach in small groups Hatha Yoga with influences from Vinyasa, Yin, restorative, and therapeutic yoga, individually tailored to the needs of the participants. The program is complemented by meditations in various forms, such as silent, guided, breath, or water meditations, as well as dance meditations under the open sky. A day of silence supports conscious retreat. Whether beginner or advanced, every level is welcome.
Social Commitment & Environment
Prana Veda has been dedicated to the people and environment of the region for many years. Since 2006, children from the village have been supported through school sponsorships, school projects organized, and since 2008, traditional Balinese dance lessons have been promoted in the schools of Bondalem. An own permaculture garden provides fresh, organic fruits and vegetables and stands for mindful resource management. Sustainability is also demonstrated in the use of solar energy, LED lighting, chlorine-free pools, waste separation, and support for coral reef protection projects. The family-like Balinese team, mostly from the local village, shapes the special atmosphere of Prana Veda with their warmth and connection.
Free Time
In addition to yoga, meditation, and soothing treatments, Prana Veda offers many opportunities to discover the nature and culture of Bali. Two pools, the infinity pool by the sea and the warm Watsu pool in the courtyard, invite you to relax. The nearby coral reef is ideal for swimming, snorkeling, or stand-up paddling, especially atmospheric at sunrise.
Popular are boat trips with fishermen for dolphin watching, as well as the cooking class, where guests prepare Balinese specialties together with the staff. Guided excursions to volcanoes, waterfalls, temples, or rice terraces provide authentic insights into the island and make the stay varied and inspiring.
