Karlovy Vary, nestled picturesquely in a valley at the confluence of the Tepla and Ohre rivers, is especially famous for its drinking therapy using mineral springs with temperatures between 30 and 72°C. These are used for drinking therapies, baths, and irrigation. The Spa Hotel Thermal is located in the centre, close to the colonnades.

Dining & Leisure

National and international cuisine. Breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner buffet. Diet, reduction, and vegetarian options available. Film Café à la carte with homemade desserts.

Wellness & Spa

Modern wellness centre featuring an indoor pool (approximately 15 x 5 m, about 28°C), whirlpool, Kneipp path, Finnish sauna, infrared cabin, steam bath, and cardio zone.

Saunia Thermal Resort (entry for hotel guests is included for 2 hours daily. Day passes available for approximately CZK 200 (£7 / $9) on site) directly accessible from the hotel - thermal outdoor pool (40 m open year-round) with swimming lanes (25) and a separate spring water pool with thermal water. Sauna area - 8 saunas with rituals: Finnish sauna, herbal sauna, steam bath, steam blast sauna, salt sauna, tropical sauna. Ice fountain, cooling pools and buckets, showers with mist spray.

Health & Treatments

Modern therapy department (Mon-Sat 7 a.m.-7 p.m.). Doctor (Mon-Fri) and team of therapists. Therapy treatments use hot spring water. Mud, paraffin wrap, salt cave (at a charge), underwater or hot stone massages, whirlpool, bubble or pearl bath. Laser, scanner, magnetotherapy, biolamp, solux, quartz lamp, electrotherapy (Myostimulator, Endo-Vaco, BTL-06, Phyaction), ultrasound, lymphatic drainage, dry CO2 bath, oxygen therapy, pneumopuncture. Indications: Digestive disorders, metabolic disorders such as diabetes, gout, musculoskeletal disorders, stress, and physical as well as psychological exhaustion.

Annually in June, enjoy the Music Summer (Mozart and Karlovy Vary), international film festival, in August Beethoven Days, in September Dvorak's Karlovy Vary Autumn and international folklore festival, in October international jazz festival. City tours, colonnade and church concerts. Excursions: Loket Castle, porcelain, glass, or Becherovka Museum (Karlovy Vary liqueur). Tennis courts, horse riding, cycling, and hiking trails.

In winter, skiing or hiking on the Keilberg (Klinovec 1,244 m), about 20 minutes drive towards Joachimsthal (free parking, ski school and ski rental available). At the top of Keilberg, you can comfortably ride the 3 km long cable car. Cyclists can look forward to well-maintained cycle paths, and for the more experienced, there is a downhill track for mountain biking.

The hotel is located at the beginning of the promenade. On the other side it is more in the city area, so you have both. Evening events (music, cabaret, sales promotion, food, drinks, etc.) Access to the pool and sauna directly by elevator, all facilities very clean. Treatments by professionals, all very good. Trial treatment recommended, you can book additional treatments or cosmetics if required. No problem in the low season.

Even if the hotel doesn't necessarily fit into the landscape, it offers everything you want to enjoy on vacation. Good service, wonderful food and the small wellness area in the hotel is very nice and chic. The direct access to the thermal spa from the hotel is a bonus and this spa anyway. All the therapeutic treatments were also very good. We were completely satisfied and can recommend it to others.

Thermal Hotel as always very nice, top price-performance ratio, staff very friendly and attentive.

I have been to this hotel several times and am very satisfied as always. The medical treatments are perfect. The hotel staff were very friendly. The New Year's Eve event was great. Cleanliness in the entire hotel very good. I am well rested and will definitely vacation at this hotel again. Thanks to the hotel management for the overall organization.
