Acne is a common skin problem that affects around 85% of adolescents, mainly on the face, but can also occur on the chest and upper back. In Ayurvedic medicine, this condition is described as Yauvanapidika under the Kshudraroga.
In this study under Piyush V. Pampaniya, 50 patients with Yauvanapidika symptoms were treated in two groups.
Group A received twice daily topical treatmentof Shalmalyadilepa with milk.
Group B received 2 g of Guduchyadivati three times a day in addition to the topical treatment of Shalmalyadilepa.
At the end of the treatment, group B showed a better improvement compared to group A, indicating a more effective effect of the combined therapy.
