Cookies with extra chocolate! These nut-nougat cookies are the highlight of every Christmas celebration and taste like from grandma’s kitchen!
- 250 g flour
- 75 g sugar
- 200 g margarine
- 150 g nuts
- 1 package vanilla sugar
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 200 g nougat
- 10 g coconut oil
- 100 g chocolate bar
Preheat the oven to 175 °C, set up fan circulation. Mix all the ingredients except the nougat, coconut oil and chocolate and knead the mass into dough. If it is too sticky, add a spoon of flour or put it for a couple of minutes in the fridge. Roll out the dough between two sheets of baking paper or on a floured surface and cut into the shapes you like. Bake approx. 7 min. on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Take the cookies out and let them cool.
In the meantime, melt the nougat and coconut oil together in a water bath, stir the mass well. Spread the nougat mass over the cookies. Finally, melt the chocolate and decorate the cookies. Let them dry and they are ready!
Our tip – double decker cookies:
The cookies are perfect as a double decker. Just put some nougat between two cookies and press them gently together. When the double decker cookies are cool they stick together and you can dip them in melted chocolate. This way you get a nice pattern and the cookies look like made by a professional chef!
