Location & Surroundings
Franzensbad is located in the spa triangle of West Bohemia, close to the German border. The beautiful parks and surrounding forests, the pleasant climate, and countless healing springs offer excellent conditions for relaxation and active holidays.

Modern therapy department (approx. 800 sqm, Mon.-Sat. 7 a.m.-3 p.m.) staffed with doctors and a team of therapists, 24-hour nursing service. Cutting-edge diagnostics and treatment methods, including local natural remedies such as mineral water, medicinal gas, and peat. Treatments include massages, baths, medicinal gas injections, mud therapy, peat packs, oxygen therapy, ultrasound, and biolamp. Electrotherapy, laser therapy, and magnetic field therapy, group physical therapy. Drinking therapy following medical consultation in the town's drinking halls.
Indications: musculoskeletal disorders and circulatory diseases.
Contraindications: acute and infectious diseases, malignant tumours during and after treatment with clinically detectable signs of disease progression, pregnancy, alcohol dependency, dependency on addictive substances, non-healing skin defects, inability to care for oneself and perform daily activities without assistance, inability to walk independently, urinary and faecal incontinence.
Free Time
AQUAFORUM Water World - A realm of water and wellness (fee required: €12 (approx. UK £10 / USD $13) for 2 hours). Features three indoor and three outdoor pools with water attractions, whirlpools, sauna, water cave and slide, snack bar, restaurant, and aqua shop.
Cycling and walking in the surrounding area. Theatre performances. Classical concerts are held in the town during the summer months. Excursions and tours to nearby attractions such as Kynzvart Castle, Marienbad, Karlsbad, and the SOOS Nature Reserve.
