Additionally, medicinal gas injections (anti-inflammatory), mechanical lymph drainage (helps eliminate toxins), inhalations (soothe the respiratory tract), and electrotherapy (stimulates the muscles) are available. A drinking therapy (strengthens the body from within) completes the range of services.

The surrounding area is perfect for extended hikes and cycling tours, while trails meander through a nature reserve with moorland ponds. The general ambience of the hotel is rather old-fashioned, less modern. Many things could do with a makeover. Nevertheless, you can feel comfortable and relax there.

Hotel

The location is good, quiet and yet central in Františkovy Lázně. Parking is also convenient, albeit at an additional cost. Reception was great, they also spoke relatively good German and could explain a lot. Cleanliness was fine. The room was also fine. The bed was a bit too soft, the shower head could only be used without a holder as it didn't have the right angle to hang it up and stand under it. The balcony was adventurous, the tiles on it were partly broken and very wobbly.

Service

The service was good, despite the language barrier, everyone was helpful, friendly and nice. They were also competent in the relevant areas. Only in the restaurant they were not particularly interested in selling drinks and you had to actively ask.

Treatments

The massage treatments in particular were really good. Overall, you get the feeling that the staff there know their stuff and are interested in making sure you have a good time.

Board type

I didn't think the food was that good. You always order for the following day. On the day of arrival you just get something. There were good dishes in the evening, but also some that were very dry or greasy. The dessert in the evening was always the same and sometimes there were a lot of fruit stalks still in the bowl. There was also the same desert almost every evening. The soups were okay, usually with very little garnish. The salad buffet mostly consisted of already portioned salads. In the evening there were only carafes of water with a slice of citrus fruit for the whole table to drink. Drinks could only be ordered on active request. The breakfast buffet was slightly better. There was some choice and teas, coffee and juices to drink. The breads were very dry.

Wellness area

Sauna by appointment only. The pool is quite small, if more than 4 people want to swim, it gets cramped. I found the pool a bit fresh in places. But overall it's clean and very nice. The long opening hours are pleasant. The treatments are all in designated rooms. In some of them you are not alone, but only in an area separated by a curtain. Sometimes there is a ticking egg timer next to it for the time you have left for the treatment. I found this a little irritating. In the baths (bubble bath) the tubs were not completely clean.
