The hotel is divided into 3 building areas: The main building, the building area "Glücksschmiede", which is connected to the hotel, with gardens and direct access to the spa and the Residence (approx. 20 m away from the main building), which is located in an adjacent building. Location & Surroundings

The South Tyrolean fruit-growing community of Lana, nestled between lush orchards and vineyards, is only approx. 10 km from Merano and approx. 20 km from the capital city of Bolzano. The train station Lana can be reached in about 2 km.

How You Reside

68 new and stylishly furnished rooms equipped with shower/WC, balcony, TV, safe, bathrobe, slippers, yoga mat, WiFi. Double room Standard B (approx. 20 sqm) in the Residence, Balance (approx. 45 sqm) in the main building with bathtub and shower, air conditioning, minibar. Garden Rooms (approx. 36 sqm) in the garden wing with south-facing balcony and additional oak wood floors, small library by artist Hannes Egger and hand-woven carpet made of South Tyrolean sheep's wool, with open or closed bathroom. Single rooms are double rooms for single use.

Dining & Leisure

The new kitchen team conjures up excellent, also vegan, vegetarian, lactose- and gluten-free dishes from regional and seasonal products. Breakfast buffet with organic croissants from the bakery and homemade bread. Half board with high quality products from local farmers and mountain pastures and fish from Italian waters. Half board with choice of 5-course menu in the evening. Lunch in the afternoon for an extra charge. Schwarzschmied Bar and Lounge offers various homemade and regional drinks and cocktails.

Wellness & Spa

Balance SPA in the Glücksschmiede with indoor and outdoor pool (heated all year) with vitalized Grander water, bio sauna (approx. 65°C), Finnish outdoor sauna (approx. 90°C) steam bath, indoor relaxation rooms. Daily (Mon.-Sat.) Yoga is offered (e.g. Morning-Yoga, Vinyasa, Sivananda, Hatha, Detox, Ashtanga, Fascia etc.), private lessons can also be booked for an extra charge. Various massage and beauty treatments e.g. facials with Susanne Kaufmann™ products, massages such as Dorn-Breuss (energetic back massage with focus on spine), Shiatsu, Detox treatments. Fitness room with a view of the vineyard.

Free Time

Bike rental, E-bike rental (approx. € 30/day) for excursions to Merano or Bolzano, outdoor rest garden, reading room. Numerous hiking trails, e.g. to the rustic Ulten Valley on the edge of the Stilfserjoch National Park. 20% green fee reduction on all golf courses in South Tyrol.
