Dining & Leisure

The airy restaurant overlooks the clear Kallar River and the adjacent jungle and serves tasty Ayurvedic dishes with ingredients mostly grown on site.

Ayurveda Center

In the Ayurveda Center (currently healing therapies only on request), under the direction of an experienced Ayurveda team, which is predominantly "borrowed" from the well-known sister resort Nikki's Nest, Ayurvedic regeneration and purification therapies are carried out. The complementary Ayurvedic medicine used consists exclusively of herbal products. In consultation with the doctors, a combination of the two houses is possible during the stay. The oils for both resorts are produced in-house on the plantation at Duke's. Yoga and meditation in the in-house "Prakarthi" Yoga Shala round off the offer.

Free Time

Large outdoor pool with sunbeds and umbrellas. Walks over the plantation. The team will be happy to help organize excursions to the surrounding area, boat and trekking tours or jeep safaris.

Getting There

‘Can do a lot better’ Original review (automatically translated)

Hotel very clean, hotel staff very attentive, BUT:    1 - Transfer back to the airport much too early (starting at 5:30 am, and then we waited 4 hours at the airport with no exit outside the terminal because the security at the entrance of the terminal prohibits it.)    2 - Return to airport transfer poorly executed: the taxi left us at the wrong terminal, so we had to take another taxi at our expense     3 - There was only one male masseur, who "smeared" more than he massaged. The massages was very repetitive. I am used to SPA & massage, it is the worst I have done.     4 - In addition, with my 2 boys care was obligatorily spread from 10:30 am to 15:30. So impossible to make an excursion all together in the vicinity, and impossible to lunch together at noon (my first gacon ended his care around 12:30, so the time to take a shower and recovered he was at the restaurant around 13h qd I started at 13:30 my care) .... Too bad not to be able to eat with his 2 children during the week of stay ... It's not really the goal of a week together show more

    • Hotel in general
Hotel very clean, restauartion varied and symathetic even if it is vegetarian, we enjoy
    • Service and hospitality
The waiters are very friendly, always ready to help
    • Spa, treatment and pool area
Null masseur, he drowns you under a ton of oil then daubs .....
    • Treatments and programmes
Organization and planning of care were more than nil. As there was only one masseur, impossible to change anything, and impossible to release a half day with my 2 children (boys) to visit all together the area. Yoga is nice, but meditation was incomprehensible. A Dutch couple was traveling with us, they gave up after 3 days.

‘It was a little paradise’ Original review (automatically translated)

An Ayurveda cure in this nature under experienced guidance and supervised by a helpful, motivated crew is an experience. show more

    • Hotel in general
The complex is beautifully built in the traditional architectural style of Kerala with a pool and spacious bungalows. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The crowd always manageable. But you have to love nature. Once a swarming termite people took my bungalow into hiding. Once, during the flowering of coffee beans, many honeybees moved into the attic.
    • Service and hospitality
The atmosphere is very good, the staff helpful and attentive. Dukes is a small resort. There are never many guests there. The company is therefore family and personal.
    • Cuisine
The kitchen was excellent. I have to comply because of food intolerances a diet that was followed without problems from the kitchen.
    • Spa, treatment and pool area
The pool is maintained and cleaned daily. One of the staff provides fresh flower mandalas in the clinic and at the front desk. She also put little bouquets in my bungalow. Everything is lovingly maintained. Valuable were also the daily yoga classes with a signed yoga master.
    • Treatments and programmes
As you know, the full effect of an Ayurvedic treatment does not appear until after your return home. I felt already at the end of the cure recovered and cleaned, have the impression that the purification worked and the medical care differentiated responded to the individual needs.

‘Green retreat away from the hustle and bustle’ Original review

If you are tired of the sea and love the rainforest, then this is the place for you. For everyone else, it could be too lonely, especially in off-season times. If that does not bother you, you will experience a wonderful nature. show more

    • Hotel in general
A total of 6 houses with sufficient distance to the "neighbors" and thus first-class private atmosphere. Thanks to the ceiling fan, you can even sit outside on the large terrace in the evening. Large rooms, huge bed with neat mosquito net.
    • Service and hospitality
Both the reception and the daily service were very friendly and helpful, from the management of the restaurant staff to the security and cleaning service.
    • Cuisine
The food was quite good, you could do it a little lovingly.
    • Spa, treatment and pool area
Rated here is the "Ayurveda clinic", which can be reached on foot. Clean bright rooms, you feel good.

‘very good and relaxing’ Original review

Here you will find peace and relaxation in the countryside. show more

    • Hotel in general
Beautiful location in the countryside, surrounded by tropical vegetation and a rubber plantation and a good bit away from any distraction. Ideal to unwind.
    • Service and hospitality
Each of the staff is friendly and attentive and endeavored to the absolute satisfaction of the guests. Here you are really a king as a guest.
    • Cuisine
Varied, always freshly cooked, of course dosh related and always delicious. Even small special requests are met.
    • Spa, treatment and pool area
Small Ayurveda clinic in the countryside, a bit away from the hotel, which guarantees a small daily walk. There is a star deduction for the pool, which is cleaned every day meticulously, but has its best days already behind.
    • Treatments and programmes
Attentive Ayurvedic doctor who is present daily. Very good staff. The two hours daily treatment are incredibly soothing.
