Southwest of Novo Mesto, nestled in dense forests and an atmosphere of untouched nature, lies the idyllic Dolenjske Toplice – a traditional spa resort and a true oasis of relaxation. Its treasures are the three hotel-owned springs, which gently relax body and mind with thermal water at temperatures of 36 to 38°C. This lightly mineralised, carbon dioxide-free water is one of the rare Akratothermal waters in Europe, rich in calcium, magnesium, and bicarbonate. Its healing properties have been valued for centuries: it alleviates discomfort, promotes regeneration, and provides noticeable well-being. Bathing in this special water is not only soothing but an experience for all the senses – supported by the natural power and beauty of the surroundings.

At the hotel, culinary delights await you in not one, but two restaurants: The main restaurant and the elegant à la carte restaurant offer a varied selection of national and international specialties, prepared with fresh, regional ingredients. Start your day with a rich breakfast buffet, and indulge in varied 3-course set menus and a diverse salad buffet for lunch and dinner. Vegetarian and dietary dishes are also available – ideal for guests with special dietary needs.
For relaxed moments, the stylish coffee house with a piano bar, terrace, and fireplace invites you to unwind, while a snack bar offers small delicacies for in-between meals.

Spanning over 9,200 sqm, the Vitarium Spa & Beauty wellness centre (open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., until 10 p.m. on Fri-Sat) offers an exclusive world of relaxation and rejuvenation. At its heart lies the Thermal LAGUNA featuring a comfortably warm indoor pool (about 32°C), a refreshing outdoor pool (around 27°C in summer), underwater massage benches, and a children's pool for our younger guests.
The sauna OASIS (subject to a fee) welcomes you with a Finnish sauna, steam bath, sanarium, herbal sauna, and Japanese sweat bath, inviting you to let go, while the ZEN relaxation room, tropical garden, whirlpool, and naturist terrace create additional sanctuaries for the senses. In the AURA Center, experienced therapists pamper you with a wide range of massages – from classic to Shiatsu, lymphatic drainage, and aroma and heat therapies.

The Centre for Medical Rehabilitation (Mon.–Sat. 7 a.m.–3 p.m.) is conveniently connected to the Hotel Balnea via a comfortable bathrobe corridor, ensuring short distances and utmost comfort. A highly qualified team of specialists in orthopaedics, physiatry, neurosurgery, and rheumatology develops personalised therapy plans for various conditions.
Focus areas include musculoskeletal disorders, rheumatism, osteoporosis, and women's health issues. With a wide range of treatments from physiotherapy and medical exercise therapy to electrotherapy and hydrotherapy, the centre provides targeted, effective, and sustainable rehabilitation. Patients benefit from cutting-edge medical expertise directly linked to the comforts of the hotel—ideal for a successful recovery in a relaxed setting.

The panoramic fitness centre on the hotel roof delights active guests with state-of-the-art equipment and a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape – training with a unique view included. Note: The fitness centre is closed from 1 August to 31 October.
