Ortner's Resort in Detail

Your Hotel

Craving culinary and wellness delights? Step into the family-run 5-star Ortner’s Resort in Bad Füssing, Bavaria's largest hotel spa resort, and be amazed: Six pools glow dark blue with 400 sqm of water surface, into which 100,000 litres of fresh medicinal water flow daily from the resort's own thermal spring. This is complemented by golden columns, magnificent chandeliers, and aged wood. In such a lavish setting, one can feel like in a fairy tale! Even more luxury awaits in the "Source of Health" and the "Source of Beauty and Balance". The Ortner family is deeply rooted in their homeland, which is also reflected in the daily indulgent half board at the Restaurant 1846.

Location & Surroundings

Relax, unwind, indulge, slow down, and stay healthy - all this can be found in Bad Füssing, pampered by thermal waters, located in the Bavarian spa triangle - amidst the 'Bavarian Tuscany'. The centre and the extensive spa park of Bad Füssing are just a few minutes' walk away. Nearby, a wealth of culture awaits! The picturesque city of Passau, with its attractive museums, romantic alleys, and the world's largest cathedral organ, is particularly worth a visit.

Wellness & Spa

"Water is not everything, but without water, nothing is possible" - this is the guiding principle at Bavaria's largest hotel and thermal resort, experienced firsthand at Ortner's SPA with its expansive in-house thermal world. A thermal world spanning approximately 10,000 sqm with six pools covering 400 sqm of water surface, replenished daily by 100,000 litres of fresh healing water from the hotel's own thermal spring. Since this liquid treasure was discovered in 1938 during drilling on the family's property as the first thermal spring in Bad Füssing, the hot sulphur water has been bubbling up at 56 degrees. Cooled to a pleasant 32 to 37 degrees, Ortner's Resort stages this highly effective and deeply relaxing water within an architecturally opulent setting.

Wellness area with six pools (outdoor pool, event thermal indoor pool, whirlpool, thermal motion pool, sky-salt-infinity pool, sky-thermal whirlpool; open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.),

Quench your desire for retreat and relaxation in the sauna area with: bio sauna, event sauna, Swiss pine sauna (textile sauna in the thermal hall), steam bath, salt grotto, infrared cabins, cold pool, Kneipp path, numerous relaxing areas with snuggle oases, lounging islands, cosy cabanas, and the Panorama Alm with fireplace. Grander water drinking fountains and much more.

Time should definitely be set aside for treatments at Ortner's SPA or physiotherapy (both subject to a fee and prior appointment).

Thermal bathing is permitted for children in the thermal spa from the age of 4 years onwards.

Source of beauty and balance: equipped with 14 treatment rooms for wellness massages, beauty, and body treatments.

Source of health: Therapeutic treatments are conducted in the practice at House Wappen.
