Yoga at Villa Tito y Yanet in Detail

Travel Overview

Your daily dose of yoga and meditation in the great outdoors is led by German and/or Cuban yoga instructors before breakfast and dinner. In between, there is ample time to explore the Viñales Valley, a World Heritage Site. Opportunities for hiking, climbing, mountain biking, quad biking, horse riding, massages, dancing, Cuban cooking, or visiting a tobacco farm are gladly organized on-site. The tranquility and serenity of the valley, along with the friendliness of the village residents, invite you to relax and recharge. During the included day trip to Cayo Jutías, you can swim, snorkel, dive, or simply relax. Every Saturday, the village hosts a street festival where you can mingle with the locals, try out your salsa moves, or watch the professionals dance.

Dining & Leisure

Breakfast and dinner are freshly prepared daily with local ingredients. Vegetarian options are readily available upon request. Additionally, there are several small eateries nearby where you can grab snacks or lunch. Beverages can be purchased at very reasonable prices in the supermarket or from the accommodation's minibar.

Yoga Instructor

We collaborate with experienced, certified yoga instructors from Germany and Cuba who are adept at catering to the varying levels of their participants, from beginners to advanced practitioners. The trainers place a strong emphasis on both physicality and spirituality to offer a holistic experience. The retreat week serves as a platform for interaction and communication on all levels.

Valerie Antonovna Usov has been accompanied by yoga since early childhood. At the age of 10, she delved into the diverse world of yoga styles and philosophy. After her studies in theatre and dance education, Valerie trained as a yoga teacher at the Sivananda Ashram in Tyrol. To work more holistically, she continues her education in various movement forms such as Bu Toh and Aikishintaiso, and engages with different theories and philosophies of yoga teaching.
She conducts yoga classes in various contexts, for both adults and children, always focusing on the needs of the individuals. "Through a deeper understanding of the vessel that carries us throughout life, movement can provide access to our inner selves."

Additional information

Hotel rooms at a glance

Stay at the Villa Tito y Yanet. To experience authentic Cuba, away from mass tourism and large hotel complexes, you will reside in a typical casa particular. These are rooms provided and maintained by Cubans. The rooms are new, clean, comfortable, yet simple. Each room includes a private bathroom with hot water and toilet, a refrigerator, air conditioning, a safe, and cosy beds. Additional beds for children and laundry service are available. The house features a veranda and a rooftop terrace, which can be used for communal dining, relaxing, or dancing.

Juana and Jainet are the hostesses. This dynamic duo ensures not only that guests have a pleasant and clean stay but also lovingly prepare breakfast and dinner daily. They are the heart of 'Yoga Cubano' on-site and look forward to welcoming families, taking special care of the little ones to entertain them. This gives parents the opportunity to ground themselves during yoga workshops. Interested in Cuban cooking? The mother and daughter duo are eager to show you how to prepare the traditional dish 'arroz congri'.
