Fruity delight with a hint of chocolate – who could resist? Perfect to enjoy warm straight from the oven!
- 200 g flour
- 60 g potato starch
- 1 level tsp baking powder
- 100 g sugar
- 1 package vanilla sugar
- 1 package of orange flavouring or zest from 1 organic orange
- 1 egg
- 125 g butter
- 100 g dark chocolate
Sift the flour, starch and baking powder and mix them in a bowl. Knead the ingredients with sugar, vanilla sugar, orange zest, egg and butter and make sure the dough is consistent. Chop the chocolate into fine pieces and add it to the dough. Form three rolls with approx. 3 cm diameter and in the end press them flat. Put the dough in the fridge and let it harden. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Cut the dough into approx. ½ cm wide stripes, transfer them onto baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for approx. 10 min. The delicious orange aroma will soon fill the kitchen.
Just like in case of almost all cookies, our recipes can easily be made vegan. Simply leave out the egg, replace butter with margarine and enjoy the treat with no worries even if you nibble the dough before baking!
