Day 1: Cochin:
Reception at the airport Cochin & transfer to the hotel. Sightseeing tour including the Dutch Palace at Mattancherry, the Jewish Synagogue, the St. Francis Church & Santa Cruz Basilica. Traditional Kathakali dance demonstration in the evening. Overnight stay in Cochin.

Day 2: Cochin – Munnar
Drive to Munnar, a beautiful hill station on the Western Ghats, where you can find many lakes, reservoirs, forests and several tea estates. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 3: Munnar - Periyar
Drive to Periyar - South India’s most popular wildlife sanctuary - well known for its elephants. Rest of the day free. Overnight stay in Periyar.

Day 4: Periyar

Spice plantation visit (cinnamon, pepper, coffee etc.) with a naturalist.  In the afternoon enjoy a boat ride on Lake Periyar (approx. 1.5 hrs). Overnight stay in Periyar.

Day 5: Periyar – Kumarakom
Drive to Kumarakom. Boat trip with traditional boats to the resort, overnight.

Day 6: Kumarakom – Alleppey

Day 7: Alleppey

Your Hotel

Day 1: Kochi

☀ Reception at Cochin airport and transfer to the hotel. Cochin (also Kochi) is the second largest city in Kerala and is located on a natural harbor of the Malabar coast. City tour with visit to the Mattancherry "Dutch" Palacemit historic murals, synagogue, St. Francis Church and Santa Cruz Basilica. In the evening traditional Kathakali dance performance. Overnight stay in Cochin.

Day 2: Cochin - Munnar

After breakfast, drive to Munnar, a hill station in the Western Ghats at approx. 1,600 m with many lakes, reservoirs, forests and tea plantations. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 3: Munnar - Periyar

Drive to Periyar, the most famous wildlife sanctuary in South India, famous for its elephants. Rest of the day at leisure. 2 nights accommodation in Periyar.

Day 4: Periyar

Visit to a spice plantation (cinnamon, pepper, coffee, etc.), afternoon boat ride (approx. 1.5 hrs) on Lake Periyar.

Day 5: Periyar - Kumarakom.

Continue to Kumarakom and travel by local boats and canoes through the water world of Vembanad Lake to the resort. Overnight stay.

Day 6: Kumarakom - Alleppey

On your way to Alleppey, you will pass by typical villages of Kerala by houseboat and can experience the life of the inhabitants of the backwaters first hand. Overnight stay on the houseboat including full board.
