Prakriti Shakti in Detail

Your Naturopathy Resort

Nestled amidst lush greenery, 1650 m above sea level, Prakriti Shakti Resort emerges as a serene oasis for holistic healing. While 'Prakriti' (Sanskrit: प्रकृति) signifies the origin of being and nature, 'Shakti' (Sanskrit: शक्ति) represents strength and energy. Embark on a transformative journey with the power of nature, discovering life in harmony with it and pausing from the mindless lifestyle of modern times. An opportunity to listen to your body, mind, and soul, and truly feel at ease. In the naturopathy clinic, all therapies exclusively utilise the elements of nature in their purest form. With a deep understanding of health needs on a physical and mental level, the practitioners guide you through a personally tailored treatment programme. The process is based on four essential components: elements of nature, nutrition, yoga, and energy. Enjoy the benefits of an untouched environment, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Location & Surroundings

The picturesque green hills of Panchalimedu, nestled in the heart of Kerala, are renowned for their pristine natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and tranquil atmosphere. The vast blue sky covering the hills allows you to enjoy the silence of nature. Feel the purity of nature in the white, swirling mist that slowly descends from the hills. The song of the birds inspires you to become one with nature. The lush and diverse flora, with its beautiful branching and varying shades and hues, is an expression of the harmony that resides within the living world. Nature inspires and protects you as you prepare for a healing experience that unfolds within you.

Dining & Leisure

"Our diet should be 80 percent alkaline and 20 percent acidic, but what we consume is the exact opposite. Everyone knows we should eat plant-based, yet we don't. And even when we do eat plant-based, the food becomes acidic through reheating and overheating. Thus, even good vegetarian food turns into negative food when heated beyond a certain limit. This means we need to redefine and revise the way we prepare food."

Being mindful of what you eat and how you eat is a crucial part of the naturopathic lifestyle. Prakriti Shakti's fire-free cuisine redefines the common perception of raw food by combining the goodness of organic and fresh local produce with the fine taste and aesthetics of haute cuisine. The open restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating offers views of the pool and mountains, as well as a window through which you can glimpse into the kitchen. Depending on your individual treatment plan, vegan and uncooked dishes tailored to your needs are served here. The diets and nutritional therapies follow the three phases of detox, rebuilding, and calming with their respective nutritional requirements. Each dish is simple and close to nature, yet a culinary art designed to seduce you with colours, aroma, texture, and taste. From a traditional Kerala Sadya to a delicious brownie, a diverse range of dishes with uncooked and unprocessed ingredients from local farms awaits you.

Wellness & Spa

The hotel's infinity pool offers a wide panoramic view over the surrounding hills.

Health Center

A generously equipped treatment area with 13 treatment rooms, led by 5 doctors and several therapists, including always 1 doctor available 24/7 on-site. The elements of nature are the remedies of naturopathy, and treatments such as mud, hydro, heliotherapy, energy medicine, massages, physiotherapy, reflexology, acupuncture, and acupressure allow these elements to interact with the body and facilitate regeneration. As a medical system that works on the body's energy level, energy medicine is incorporated into the treatment programs to support the self-healing process. Various massages are also integrated to relax the muscles and improve blood circulation.

All program focuses are also suitable for prevention.

The various meditative practices of yoga promote inner health and harmony and are invaluable steps towards good health. Based on therapeutic approaches of yoga, doctors have developed treatment methods for various conditions. In the hotel's yoga hall or on the yoga deck, five different types of yoga are combined: Soukya Yoga (daily focus on a specific system in the body), Samana Yoga (personalised sessions), Dharana Yoga (guided relaxation techniques), Dhyana Yoga (breathing exercises and meditation), and Shudhi Kriyas (natural cleansing procedures according to individual needs).

Free Time

An in-house library with books on naturopathy, yoga, and other practices invites you to relax. Additionally, there are many attractive sights nearby. One of the main attractions of Panchalimedu is the breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and valleys, best enjoyed from the viewpoint on the hill (about 25-30 minutes walk/10 minutes by car). At the top of the mountain is also the Panchalimedu Temple, believed to be over 2000 years old. Besides the temple, there are beautiful meadows, hiking trails, and waterfalls. Visitors can also explore the nearby Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary (about 60 minutes/42 km), which hosts a diverse range of flora and fauna, including elephants, tigers, leopards, and rare bird species. Panchalimedu is also known for its rich cultural heritage, as numerous ancient rituals and festivals are still celebrated here. One of the most popular festivals is the Makaravilakku Festival, held in January and February, attracting thousands of followers from around the world.
