Your Ayurveda & Wellness Resort

In the heart of Sri Lanka, northeast of Kandy (about 32 km), lies the luxury boutique resort Santani, perched on a hill of a former tea plantation overlooking rice fields and mountain landscapes. The resort impresses with its minimalist design, which has already won several awards, and the stunning panorama. The peaceful and natural surroundings create an atmosphere that invites relaxation and well-being. Sustainability is a priority at Santani. There is no air conditioning or TV in the rooms. Digital detox is practiced by providing Wi-Fi only upon request and exclusively in the rooms. The natural construction from recycled wood ensures cooler room temperatures.

Dining & Leisure

The restaurant offers individual menus for each guest, discussed in advance with the head chef to ensure a balance of the six taste senses. Guests who have booked a wellness package will receive meals tailored to their body type and complementing their treatments. Most of the ingredients used are sourced from the hotel's own garden or local farmers. The wellness cuisine focuses on ketogenic (low-carb) and raw food diets, detox, and Ayurveda, with vegetarian options available upon request. Private dining is possible. Lounge, bar.

Wellness & Spa

A three-storey spa with a hydrotherapy area (sauna, steam and salt bath) offers wellness packages focused on Ayurveda, yoga, detox, weight and stress management. The aim of these programmes is to harmonise body and mind, and to provide valuable tips for maintaining a healthy lifestyle even after your stay. In addition to a permanent yoga guru, guests are supported by two Ayurvedic doctors on rotation. There is also a pavilion for yoga and meditation. Furthermore, Santani regularly hosts 'Visiting Masters' (guest therapists and healers) from around the world, such as Reiki masters, osteopaths, psychological coaches, or yoga gurus.

Free Time

Spend your leisure time daydreaming by the infinity pool (approx. 16m) with a breathtaking expansive view. If you're not embracing the "Digital Detox" here, a media room with a PC terminal is available (Wi-Fi in the room upon request). The resort's location is also ideal for mountain biking or hiking to the Hulu River, the Hanging Bridge, or the Narampanawa Temple (2-4 hours). The drive to Kandy, home to the world-famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, is about 1 hour.
