High-Intensity Laser Therapy
An effective treatment method for patients in the chronic stage, also known as Post-COVID Syndrome. The laser transforms scar tissue in the lungs into elastic functional tissue. Each laser treatment session for patients with Post-COVID Syndrome lasts about 14 minutes per affected lung, and it is necessary to continue the treatment for five consecutive days to achieve a pro-regenerative effect. Respiratory physiotherapy techniques and manual posture correction techniques follow the high-intensity laser therapy.
Ideal for guests with pulmonary issues. We recommend booking a comprehensive therapy and consulting with the attending physician on-site to determine if this therapy is suitable on an individual basis.
Rehabilitation in Virtual Reality
The Spa Hotel ROYAL has expanded its rehabilitation services to include exercises in virtual reality. The system, provided by VR Medical, features a simple virtual reality headset equipped with specially developed software. This headset is very easy and intuitive to use. A simple click is all it takes, and then the patient can interact with everything in the virtual environment using their own hands. This collaboration represents a unique opportunity for us to leverage the benefits of modern technology in practice, allowing patients to train in a simple, entertaining, and pain-free manner within our resort's environment.
THE FUTURE OF REHABILITATION IS IN VIRTUAL REALITY
Exercises in the virtual environment open up new possibilities for our patients. We believe they can significantly aid in the treatment of the following diagnoses:
- Orthopaedic issues post-accidents and surgeries of the upper limbs
- Atrophying muscles
- Functional neurological disorders
- Functional movement disorders
- Hemiparesis following a stroke
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Infantile Cerebral Palsy
- Cancer-related conditions
- Alzheimer's Disease
INCREASED MOTIVATION AND SHIFTED PAIN THRESHOLD
The fundamental added value of virtual reality is the natural motivation it provides to patients and the stimulation to push their personal boundaries. Being immersed in an artificial world is an experience for patients of all age groups. It allows them to break free from their limitations and overcome obstacles that may seem insurmountable in the real world.
EVERYONE IMMEDIATELY KNOWS WHAT TO DO
Each of the over 30 treatments, which can be alternated depending on the individual needs of the patients, is also programmed so that the patient immediately knows what to do. Connection to the central system allows nurses to perform immediate diagnostics, measurement, and evaluation of results. This simplifies the monitoring and analysis of patient progress and assists in establishing an ideal subsequent rehabilitation program. In the long term, this enables a greater scope of care provided.
"In everything we strive for, the person comes first, whose needs and quality of life we always aim to enhance. Virtual reality allows doctors in our view quick access to all relevant data, thus saving time and costs," explains Konstantin Novikov, founder of VR Medical.
Rehabilitation in virtual reality is offered as part of individual therapy sessions. During these sessions, the patient works together with a physiotherapist who tailors the exercises specifically to the individual's needs and health condition.
