Located in the heart of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Southeast Rügen, the Mönchgut peninsula is surrounded by rugged cliffs and gentle hills, bordered by the sea to the east and the Bodden and Zicker Mountains to the west.

Enjoy a cosy atmosphere in the main restaurant, featuring predominantly regional products. With full board, you'll be treated to a breakfast buffet with an organic section, a Vital-Lunch including soups, salads, and snacks, as well as coffee and cake in the afternoon. Dinner is a special arrangement consisting of a cold/warm starter buffet with soup of the day, salads, and desserts. The main course is freshly prepared and served to your liking (fish, meat, vegetarian, or vegan). Lactose- or gluten-free meals are available upon request. The hotel also boasts a bar, wine cellar, and garden terrace overlooking the dunes.

The spa and medical wellness area spans approximately 2,000 sqm and includes a therapy pool with bubble benches (approx. 4 x 6 m, approx. 97°F), a whirlpool (approx. 97°F), and an indoor pool (approx. 6 x 13.5 m, approx. 90°F). The generous sauna area features a Finnish sauna with a sea view, a bio-sauna, infrared cabin, steam bath, and a fireplace lounge with a tea bar. The therapy center (Mon-Fri) focuses on active health prevention. The area also includes treatment and massage rooms, a cardio section, and a fitness room.

The programmes for active health prevention focus on three main areas: Relaxation, Cardio, and Body. Individual services such as algae, chalk, peat, or Swiss stone pine packs, lymphatic drainage, BrainLight Shiatsu treatment, VelusJet® massage on a water bed, sand heat lounge, and much more are offered. Group activities include Nordic walking, forest bathing, meditation, progressive muscle relaxation, autogenic training, and yoga.
The services offered in the medical wellness area reduce disease risks and promote future health-oriented actions.
Treatment and massage rooms in the Therapy Center and a fitness room complement the offerings.

Rügen is famous for its steam-powered narrow-gauge railway, the "Racing Roland", which has been traversing the island since 1895.
