Discover the Island of Rügen by Bike

This seaside journey focuses on the experience of cycling. Whether it's the steering wheel, the wheel of chakras, the wheel of asanas, or a bicycle. The steering wheel of life sets a steady course, guiding the ship safely into port. The wheel of life from Buddhism. The chakras – energy wheels from the Indian teachings of yoga. The asana, the wheel, backbends for an open heart. And of course, explore the most beautiful part of the island of Rügen, the Mönchgut peninsula by bike, a wonderful experience from spring to autumn.

Location & Surroundings

Rügen, Germany's largest island, impresses with its unique beauty along the Baltic Sea. The picturesque chalk cliffs, like the famous Königsstuhl, offer breathtaking views of the coast. The island combines maritime flair, cultural history, and relaxing landscapes for an unforgettable holiday experience. Baabe, a picturesque seaside resort on the island of Rügen, enchants visitors with its charming atmosphere. Its idyllic location between the Baltic Sea and the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve makes Baabe a popular destination for those seeking relaxation and nature lovers. The fine sandy beach invites you to unwind, while the historic spa architecture and the promenade encourage leisurely strolls. With its traditional fishermen's houses, cafés, and small shops, Baabe exudes a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing holiday on the Baltic Sea. The entire Mönchgut region is renowned beyond Rügen's borders for its diverse nature and endless opportunities for cycling and hiking.

Dining & Leisure

While you are still peacefully sleeping, our kitchen team is already bustling about with a cheerful song on their lips, moving between the scrambled egg pan, cheese platters, and buffet. The aroma of coffee and freshly baked rolls fills the breakfast room, as plates and bowls make their way to the buffet. The team ensures you start your day well-nourished and keeps an eye on everything, ensuring there's no shortage of cheese and meat platters or good cheer.

What would a Baltic Sea holiday be without fresh fish? Whether it's smoked eel or herring sandwiches, your culinary desires will be fulfilled. Around Baabe, there are numerous fantastic restaurants.

Yoga Instructor

Frithjof Bluhm has been practicing yoga for about 25 years and has been a certified yoga teacher 700+ since 2011. He has been meditating since he was 14 years old and enjoys sharing his experiences in meditation sessions. Since 1998, he has practiced Vipassana meditation. Additionally, he is trained in Ayurvedic massages such as Abhyanga, Mukabhyanga, Padabhyanga, acupressure, or Reiki and is also a certified fasting course leader.

The trained fitness instructor Wiktoria Reichhardt has been accompanied by yoga in her life for over 15 years. Throughout her journey across Europe, she has gained extensive experience, which she is eager to share in her yoga classes.

Tobias Thiemann often encountered the regenerative powers of yoga during his sports career. Through a spiritual journey, he discovered that yoga is much more to him, and since then, not a day has passed without him practicing yoga. He loves to share his knowledge of mental and physical fitness.

By the age of 15, Mandy Tonn had her first experiences with yoga, and even then, she knew that yoga would play a pivotal role in her life. The trained teacher, who also masters oil massages and Reiki, guides her students through yoga sessions with a gentle yet demanding approach.

Free Time

At the treetop walk and the high ropes course in Prora near Binz, you can discover the island from a whole new perspective, exert yourself kite/windsurfing, or experience Rügen's nature while passing by on the 'Rasender Roland', a historic narrow-gauge steam train. The fine sandy Baltic Sea beach is just a few minutes' walk from the hotel. You can choose between the route via Baaber Strandstraße with its many cafés, restaurants, and shops, or through the enchanting mixed forest with its carpet of blueberry bushes. Also, the Baabe harbour with the famous rowboat ferry to Moritzdorf and ferryman Kay-Uwe is always worth a stroll. If you prefer not to walk, just hop on the free spa train, which stops right in front of the hotel.
