Dr. med. Erich von Weckbecker (1920 - 2005), founder and name giver of the clinic, turned to naturopathy due to severe illness. He experienced the effective interaction of various therapies that relieve and regenerate body, mind and soul. His resulting recovery was the catalyst for the development of his four-pillar concept, which reflects the methodology of his path to health and joie de vivre and forms the basis of all the clinic's offerings.
Fasting in silence
During a fasting stay in comfort rooms (House II), meals can be served in your room rather than in the dining room, with prior notice. In your own personal retreat, you can enjoy your meals in peace and quiet - an important aspect of the Weckbecker therapeutic fasting program. Small texts for reflection and further thought as well as inspiration from the field of pastoral care & psychology will accompany you during this process.
Current information of the hotel about the reopening after Corona closure
- Before arrival, an additional medical history form must be completed and sent to the clinic. You will receive this with your travel documents.
- Please travel with FFP2 mask and keep the minimum distance.
- Upon arrival, you must bring written certification of a complete Corona vaccination, a certificate of full covid recovery, or written confirmation of a negative Corona test - no older than 48 hours. Alternatively, a Corona rapid test can be performed on site (approx. EUR 20, only with prior reservation and for arrivals between 1 and 4 p.m., not applicable for arrivals from a foreign risk area). In addition, a short medical screening is performed before admission (free of charge).
- Adherence to the arrival time period of 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and the sending of the two medical history forms up to 10 days before arrival is absolutely mandatory.
- For guests who do not have a full Corona vaccination, a Corona rapid test will be performed in house once per week of stay (at a cost 20 € per test).
- Purchase training sessions are not possible, and steam sauna, infrared booth and oxygen multi-step therapy can unfortunately also not be used.
Please note that the measures and restrictions have been taken to protect your health and may change on short notice depending on the situation on site.
Upon departure, a one-time charge of approx. € 14.75 is payable for the corona-related additional expenses.

This was a life changing experience for me.All the staff are professional, the doctors and therapist are the best I have experienced. Having suffered with neck problems for over 6 years and seen may specialists in the UK, I found myself in tears after my first osteo session, the pain had eased and continued to after another 3 sessions. The fasting was an amazing experience and I felt I was able to reset the button on my overeating and sugar and carb addiction. The only reason I have given 4 stars and not 5 is the language problem, yes I should speak German but I don't and this meant I was unable to attend any of the talks/lectures but I was told this is something they are working on. I would still 100% return. show more

Staff and facility were wonderful. Doctors are invested in getting you healthy. Two things are missing: internet and cable TV. After treatments are done, not much to do in the evenings. Wouldn't mind if accommodations are more like hotel not a clinic. Specifically bathroom accessories. No hair dryer, no shelfs for towels, no individual soaps or lotions. show more
