A scientific view of the effects of yoga: An overview of the study situation
Yoga is much more than just physical exercise - it combines movement, breathing and mindfulness and has a demonstrably positive effect on health and well-being. A large number of scientific studies, which we have compiled for you in this collection of studies, prove the many possible uses of yoga.
For example, it has been shown that yogasignificantly increases well-being and effectively alleviates symptoms of stress and burnout. Yoga also shows promising results for mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety by reducing the severity of symptoms and boosting self-esteem.
On a physical level, yoga not only improves mobility in cases of chronic back pain, but also achieves equally good results as physiotherapy in the long term. Yoga also shows promising effects in chronic illnesses such as metabolic syndrome or as an accompanying measure for asthma and migraines.
These and other studies collected here prove that yoga is a holistic practice that can beindividually adapted thanks to its variety of exercises and techniques.
