In the heart of Sri Lanka City Kandy situated at an altitude of about 500 meters surrounded by hills on the River Mahaweli. The height and the artificial lake in the city centre provide significantly cooler temperatures than in the lowlands of an average of 24 ° C.

Main restaurant for local and international dishes, ayurvedic and non-hyurvedic. Ayurveda Village "Ayu" Restaurant, exclusively for Ayurveda guests with fresh local and Singhalese "Super Foods". Ayurveda guests are welcome to receive advice from the Ayurveda doctor as to which dishes are recommended or should be avoided according to the dosha.
Health & Treatments
"Saukya" (Sinhala for health) with experienced team of an Ayurvedic doctor (German speaking) and several therapists. 7 treatment rooms for traditional treatments such as Abhyanga massages, Pinda Sveda herbal stamp massages, Shirodhara oil forehead cast, Ayurvedic steam bath, herbal packs and sauna, and aromatherapy in a traditional Sinhala mud hut in the garden. Yoga and meditation round out your therapy.
Your Ayurveda doctor, Dr. K.M.T.B. Kahandawa, serves you with over 20 years of professional experience, including 4 years working at Tree of Life. He completed his five-year degree at Gampaha Wickramarachchi Ayuveda University and then practiced for an additional year in government Ayurvedic hospitals. Dr. Kahandawa is a registered physician with the Ayurveda Medical Council in Sri Lanka and speaks English and German. French or Italian translators can be arranged upon request.

Hotel rooms at a glance
53 residential units are spread over the extensive grounds. All with bathtub or shower/WC, air conditioning, hair dryer, coffee/tea set, WiFi, TV and terrace or balcony. Deluxe rooms and villas are located in the main building. Villas additionally with private balcony for Ayurveda treatments. In Ayurveda Village 10 chalets with more luxurious furnishings. "Home's Bungalow" (on request) with 3 suites and 1 family suite, kitchen, bar with billiard for maximum privacy. Single rooms are double rooms for single use.

We have been spoiled and feel relaxed. You are in the middle of nature and even as a non-bird watcher it was fun to watch the birds at breakfast and lunch.

Everything was just right here: a beautiful hotel in a dreamlike setting, lovable staff, delicious food, wonderful Ayurveda treatments and yoga every day, plus impressive excursions away from the mainstream of tourists.
